LIOR- The Colorist You've Been Searcing For. After searching through about 5 colorists in 2 years of living in NY, I am SO HAPPY I finally found Lior. He listened to exactly what I was saying, actually looked at the pictures I brought him, and then toned down my bleach blonde color into a beautiful natural light brown (to compliment my skin tone) with caramel low lights and blonde highlights around the face. I got what I have always wanted- Giselle-style beach highlights that look like they came straight from the sun. Go to Lior- you will love him. He's the BEST!

Best Salon in NYC. I do a lot of TV work and I only trust one person in New York to cut my hair. Ask for Nick at Gemini 14. He's amazing at both color and cuts. I don't get my hair colored but everyone at the salon is really talented. The prices are CHEAP for a new york city salon. Its super easy to get to right on 14th street off all the major subway lines.

EXCELLENT!. Ask for Nick at Gemini 14 - he's a top-notch stylist and does excellent coloring! I've been going to him for years. The salon is beautiful, clean, modern and bright with perfect service. The best part is the extensive and bright color wheel in the back!

Excellent Service & Stylish Interior Design. First, the salon is very stylish and designed with the client in mind (e.g., unique and comfortable shampoo sinks; and areas "out of public view" for color treatments). Second, the staff are friendly and accomodating. Third, in particular, Nick Russo is of the highest standard in both cutting and color; and is quite personable and professional.

For the best color, cut, styling and straightening... look no further... call and ask for Lior today!. I have been in the fashion business for over 20 years... working with some of the top photographers, stylists, hair and make up artists... and I have never been happier or gotten more compliments on my hair... and told how young it makes me look... than since being recommended to Lior from the designer of a very high end fashion house a couple of years ago. Don't get the wrong idea though... there is no uptight attitude here. Lior and the spa are very down to earth and casual. He is great with make up too. So... if you want to feel welcome... relaxed... and look your best... Lior is the man for you! And everyone I have recommended to him agrees.

Lior--Best Colorist & Stylist EVER!!!. New York City's best kept secret for the most incredible hair styling EVER can be found at Gemini Salon in the West Village. Make sure you ask for Lior...he is a miracle worker!! Not only is he super cute and has an awesome personality, he is highly skilled and takes great pride in his work. He will NEVER let you down. I have tried every salon in New York City and paid thousands of dollars for bad coloring, horrible cuts and disappointing styling. I went to Rita Hazan, purported celebrity hair colorist, and paid $600 to have my hair destroyed by her. She was rude and did a horrible job. I had similar experiences at Louis Licari, Oscar Blandi, and Bumble & Bumble. Trust me, if it was a well known salon and expensive, I tried it. I was disappointed each and every time. It wasn't until a friend told me about Lior at Gemini that I found true satisfaction with a stylist. Lior has given me amazing blowouts, a hair straightening treatment called Opti-Smooth, shiny beautiful nature looking hair color, and excellent haircuts. Since I have been going to Lior (three years and counting) he has made my hair stronger and healthier. I was really worried about doing the Opti Smooth treatment because I was concerned about breakage. However, Lior is an expert and knows exactly how to give you the results you want without damaging one strand of hair. My hair has never looked better. I have referred many of my friends to him and they can't stop thanking me. So, do yourself a favor and go see Lior at Gemini Salon. It's the best gift you can give to your hair!! Marlene

Kristina - Best Hair Colorist in NYC!. When I say I've been EVERYWHERE in New York City for hair color, I kid you not. I've been to the "best of the best" and still no one has ever gotten it right. That is until I started seeing Kristina at the Gemini Salon. I stumbled across Gemini one day for a blowout (which I LOVED) so I decided to try getting my hair colored there too. I was recommended to Kristina and I (and my hair) have never turned back. If I were to count how many people have since complemented my highlights since I started seeing Kristina, I'd be a millionaire. She totally understands what I want and takes all the time to listen and then explain in detail what she is going to do. I had never been given this undivided attention before! And the dedication shows ... whether I've gone darker or lighter (i can now switch it up since I totally trust her work), the color always looks rich, natural and healthy (the condition of my hair has never been better). I've recommended numerous friends to Kristina and they've all joined her loyal following. Whether I am near or far, I will always find my way to Gemini to see Kristina for color, a cut and a blowout (she's a jack of all trades) because her talent is unmatched (and it dosent hurt that she is a total sweetheart). So for anyone seeking a hair colorist who will give you the results you want, go to Kristina! And also enjoy the unpretentious, friendly environment (especially the awesome front desk) that the cozy and downtown chic Gemini Salon offers.

Awful Day Spa. With the exeption of Lana, who gives a discreet and fabulous facial, skip this place. The rest of the attendants are loud, rude, and gossipy. There is no relaxing at Gemini's downstairs spa. Like it or not, you'll hear about the client who is cheating on her SO. Learn about the client with the botched tummy tuck. You wouldn't belive what that nice doctor having the pedicure has been up to! This place has gone from uncomfortable, to bad, to truly awful with pet dogs running, barking, (and even pooping) all over the place. Whatever you sign, you can do better than Gemini.

good salon, but stay away from Christina. I've had many great experiences with Gemini. Up until recently that is. I needed my highlights redone last minute and Christina was the only one available (now i know why). My nervous jitters kind of went away upon talking to her. She talked like she knew what she was talking about and sounded like she knew what i wanted. Well......the results didn't look horrible on the surface. It wasn't exactly what i wanted or even what i already had on the rest of my hair, but i accepted it. I went for a styling at another salon a few days later, and the stylist showed me what i couldn't see. The BACK of my hair. It looked like i let my 5 year old highlight my hair. There were huge spots from, what the stylist said, was bleach bleeding out from the foils. I was livid. I understand no one is perfect, but i wish she would have fessed up the blunder and fixed it right then and there, dishonesty is never acceptable. It was the end of the day, and she kept stopping to answer her mobile phone. So, i am sure she just didn't want to stay to work it out. I will go back to Gemini, but i absolutely will NEVER go to Christina again! She told me her family owns the salon. Doesn't look like skill is genetic

talented and professional staff in a very comfortable atmosphere. A Jem in the village!. I have been living in the village for a few years and have been searching endlessly for a good salon only to realize that Gemini has been right here all along. It was recommended to me a few months ago by someone I had just met whose hair looked amazing, and so I went in for the first time and now I wont go anywhere else! I was extremely pleased with everything. I have been coming here ever since and every time I go, they seem to exceed my expectations.

The staff is friendly, professional and always makes you feel extremely comfortable.

Vickie is very attentive and actually listens to what I want. My hair always comes out beautiful. Next I will get the conditioning straightening. Everybody raves about it and I have seen a few women getting it done in the salon, each of them came out amazing. I am very happy to have found this place and would absolutely recommend it.
