Response to above. This is Gabriel, I have 4 years worth of piercings licenses and have been, and still am up to date. Thanks for the review. By the way I have left village pop and am now working in St. Marks at Whatever Tattoo.
Brad is an amayzing piercer!!!!!!!!!. So I had been wanting to get my rook pierced ( the inner upper cartilage of the ear ) for a while and I had been downtown in SoHo for the night and knew there were TONS of piercing shops around. I came across Village Pop and decided it looked like the cleanest and most professional I had seen and checked it out. Right away I was able to speak directly to my piercer, Brad, and he helped me choose the type of jewelry to pierce with and which ear to do. I was brought into the back where he had his own private booth and sat down. The floor was so clean I was even able to put my bag down on it!!! Brad was very easy to talk with and made me feel Very comfy!! No awkwardness, no apprehension! He made sure I liked where he marked before piercing and was ready to go. I have over 10 body piercings and this is the FIRST ever that was completely PAIN FREE!!! I kid you not! Brad was extremely fast, confident and smooth, leaving the procedure the most comfortable I've EVER had...EVER!!! I can't stop complimenting him in particular! I was beyond impressed!!! Not to mention the priceing was quite reasonable too ($25) This was my first piercing in NYC, since moving here 5 months ago, and I will DEFINATLEY be back to have Brad do more of his impressive work!!!
bad-bad-bad!!!!!don't ever go there!!!!. DON'T EVER GO THERE!!!!ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!GABRIEL IS A LITTLE PUNK...VERY BAD PIERCER!!!!NO LICENSE AT ALL!!! PLEASE READ THE REVIEW!!!!!
not effecient, non informative. one piercer here pierced my nose. He didnt tell me anything about aftercare. He put a regular earring in my nose- and your typically sopposed to have a hooked piercing or jewlery specifically designed for your nose peircing. he was IM'ing and looking on MYSPACE while piercing my nose. i wouldnt reccomend this place to anyone- but there are alot of other places on the same street. i would try "KINGDOM" or "WHATEVER" tattoo parlors.
