I love going to Rivergate. Kim at the front desk is nice and knows all my pets by name. I usually see Dr. Erin Burya or Dr. Peter Kross and I find them both excellent. They listen to and understand my concerns. For example, I am concerned about giving my pets too many vaccinations. Dr. Burya patiently went over my pets risks and offered me vaccine titers instead.
Pros: Nice staff

My only complaint about Rivergate Veterinary Clinic is that it isn't in my own immediate neighborhood. Still, as much as possible, I take a taxi or bus to get there. I haven't known Dr. Burya as long as I have known Dr. Kross but I've always found her to be kind, caring, knowledgable, and professional. She has had to fill in to take care of my dogs or cats, and, always has done a wonderful job. The support staff are top knotch caring professionals too. As a pet care professional, I have visited a number of veterinary facilities in Manhattan with clients' dogs and/or cats, and, the fees at Rivergate are completely in line with or lower than many other comparable facilities. Dr. Kross is personally responsible for saving the lives of or enhancing the quality of the lives of three of my own dogs, several rescues, and five of my own cats and numerous others I brought into rescue over the years. I can't think of another veterinary service I would have trusted to do the dental work on my twenty-year-old Maltese dog.
Pros: Appointments scheduled to avoid long periods in the waiting room; experienced, professional veterinarians, technicians, and front desk staff.
Cons: Not an emergency hospital.
