it's handy to have a 24 hour hardware store, but the people they have on the phone are rude and dismissive, an expect you to come ad find the thing yourself. they have literally hung up in my face, and I am asking very reasonable questions. The last time I went there in person the paint lady was close to death from flu and taking out her aggression on me. I wont ever do it to myself again. Wankers.

This place is really a standout for friendly, helpful service. I had to have new keys for the front door made recently, and the guy behind the counter explained that to make Medco keys would take a while and suggested I run next door for a coffee. He was very courteous and helpful, like everyone who works at this store -- a lot of people around the city seem to resent helping customers but I never get that feeling here. Plus they have 24 hour service, and a great selection of housewares on the 2nd floor and toys on the 3rd. A very useful addition to Grammercy/Muray Hill.

An amazing place: a hardware and housewares store that's currently open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in midtown Manhattan! Very well stocked with hardware on the first floor, housewares on the second. Very friendly and helpful staff. For a typical guy who loves browsing through hardware stores, a dangerous place indeed.
