This was a convenient location to celebrate a birthday. It was a total of 7 women and we had such a blast. We had a wonderful waiter who kept us laughing straight through the first course. I didn't know what to expect since all the latest reviews, except for 1, were from early Fall 2008. We ordered different meals ranging from chicken, fish, veal and lamb. My veal scallopine was perfect!! We tasted eachother's dishes and each of us raved about the other's meal. This place was much better than expected. They also had a very decent wine selection. The deserts were from Payard...need I say more??? Their home made tiramasu was ok.. too much marscapone.. not enough espresso saturated finger cookies. I loved this place and will definitely come back again and again!

My family always celebrates our special occasions at Alba.. it is worth the trip into the city from CT. On our last visit, we checked out the ladies bathroom and I just loved what they did with the ceiling. I loved it so much, I want to do it to my babies nursery!

Cheap wine, drunk Italians and a singer with a Casio. Trattoria Alba is fun, if too loud. The food was overall bland, but the antipasto was excellent. A good place to bring out-of-towners.
