“The bill was a great value for all the food they gave us and the service was wonderful.”
“Food was outstanding; and we didn't have long to wait for it to arrive (we had 5:30 pm reservations); a party of six was seated after us nearby and they left b/f we did.”
My favorite place to eat. TRATTORIA ALBA is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is delicious, the stuff is very nice and they have posted on the door the letter A , which means that The Health Department already rated them. One more reason to feel safe when I eat there... My favorite dishes are OSSOBUCO and PAPPARDELE ALBA. They do deliveries too;the person who answers the phone is really nice and you do get what you order. No mistakes and fast delivery too.I highly recommend this place if you're looking for real italian food. Five stars from me!
Best Italian place in town!!!!!. Great food, great prices, and great experiences! My husband Lee and I come back to Alba every year to celebrate our anniversary!
Great place for get togethers. This was a convenient location to celebrate a birthday. It was a total of 7 women and we had such a blast. We had a wonderful waiter who kept us laughing straight through the first course. I didn't know what to expect since all the latest reviews, except for 1, were from early Fall 2008. We ordered different meals ranging from chicken, fish, veal and lamb. My veal scallopine was perfect!! We tasted eachother's dishes and each of us raved about the other's meal. This place was much better than expected. They also had a very decent wine selection. The deserts were from Payard...need I say more??? Their home made tiramasu was ok.. too much marscapone.. not enough espresso saturated finger cookies. I loved this place and will definitely come back again and again!
I love everything. My family always celebrates our special occasions at Alba.. it is worth the trip into the city from CT. On our last visit, we checked out the ladies bathroom and I just loved what they did with the ceiling. I loved it so much, I want to do it to my babies nursery!
Rowdy Fun. Cheap wine, drunk Italians and a singer with a Casio. Trattoria Alba is fun, if too loud. The food was overall bland, but the antipasto was excellent. A good place to bring out-of-towners.
Fantastic Neighborhood Restaurant. My boyfriend and I live close by and have been going to Alba for years now. The staff is friendly, the food is always fantastic and the ambiance is quaint. I highly recommend the Penne Bosco e Mare. They tend to have wonderful specials too so don't miss out.
Great old school Italian restaurant!. Trattoria Alba has great pastas and pizza and conveniently located on 34th Street. Have been coming for years and can't recommend it enough!
Great Atmosphere.
I read about Trattoria Alba online before going to New York. It lived up to steep expectations. The atmosphere was the best part. It was small, lit by candlelight and there were just a few tables in the whole place.
The chicken parmigana was fantastic and so was the antipasto. The wait staff was pretty good and the prices were very reasonable for NYC.
When you leave there is a great site of the Empire State Building.
Best pizza. I decided to go to Trattoria Alba after I read the Zagat survey. They have great food but I most like the Pizza. The service is also good and overall this is an excellent value. I will definitely go back again.
Fabulous restaurant!. Found this place on CitySearch. The restaurant is small and intimate, w/a garden out back; inside has exposed brick walls and is attractive and rustic w/tables large enough so you don't feel crowded by plates, salt and pepper shakers, etc. Menu was varied w/daily specials. Wait staff were very attentive. Food was outstanding; and we didn't have long to wait for it to arrive (we had 5:30 pm reservations); a party of six was seated after us nearby and they left b/f we did. The restaurant was full on a Fri night, but not so noisy that I had to strain to hear my dining partner. Highly recommend this restaurant and will visit again as I live in the neighborhood.
