EXCELLENT RESTAURANT. The El Parador Cafe has to be on of the finest restaurant on the east side my buddy took me there once and I have been hooked ever since oh and while im here may I suggest the rib eye its fantastic.

AVOID THIS PLACE, THEY WILL LOSE YOUR RESERVATION AND THEN TREAT YOU LIKE A LIAR!!!!. We had reservations for four, when we arrived they lost our reservation and instead of apologizing we were told that we should have confirmed our reservation and treated as if we never made it. Poor Customer Service!!! I will never go there again.

The Best Mexican in NY. As a California transplant, who has been in NY 9 years, I have finally found my Mexican restaurant! El Parador is absolutely amazing- from the service to the salsa to the entrees, they have NEVER disappointed. Great for datenight, or a large group. Best margaritas in the city, hands down. Go now, I'm serious.

Very very good. Was there for the first time last night. The food was very very good, the margaritas were great, and the atmosphere and service were just lovely. Try the chorizo!!

The Best Mexican Place in the City!. We've been going here for 4 years now, even though they've been around for 40+, and have always had a great experience. Try the guac, the taco tray and the fish tacos if they have them. Great friendly service, nice ambience, nice bar, all around great dining experience.

A good surprise in middle of nowhere. I have lived in Murray Hill for years and had never dare to enter this restaurant which from outside seems outdated and dirty. However one day three of us went for dinner on a weekday night and found the place very much alive with a nice crowd, professional service, promising menu. The food did not dissapoint us, although two items on the menu were out that evening - one of them the restaurant's signature dish, which is unacceptable. Also we requested a take-out menu but they did not have any, although they deliver (!). The place could be run better but I would go back.

Best Mexican in the city. I ate there the other night. Great atmosphere as well as ambiance. Alex the owner was very friendly and accomodating. The sangaria is excellent as well as the tequila selection. We ordered the nachos Royal and split tacos and the chicken in the Mole sauce. I will be back again in a few weeks.

Best Mexican, Nicest Owner. I'm not sure what happened to that guy who wrote the negative review, but I used to live next to El Parador and the owner, Alex, is the nicest guys ever.

I told him I liked fish tacos and he added them to the menu! The staff would often buy us drinks or dessert and comped our dinner on our last night in the neighborhood. If you like Mexican food, this is the place. It's fresh, authentic and delicious. Even if you don't, you'll find something on the menu you will love.

Great Food & Service. I had a surprise party for my Fiance in May at El Parador it was also the place where I took her on our first date three years ago and I must say everything was excellent!!!. The Owners Alex & Manny took great care in making sure everything was just right. When we needed anything whether it was music or more food it was done quickly and efficently I strongly recommend El Parador whether you just want to go out and have a great meal or throw an awesome party!!!
