I stop by Belvedere every 4 months even though I hate repeating dinner places in this city of 5,000 restaurants. Why do I come back? This place has a friendly atmosphere, good service, great food, at reasonable prices. Belvedere is the kind of place you can go on a romantic date or just sit with a friend and talk for 3 hours over a bottle of wine, a good meal and very good desserts. Belvedere usually has more than 5 specials each night and the tiramisu is fantastic (especially with an after dinner drink).

I recently visited this fine establishment on a Saturday nite and to my surprise, I had a great time! The food was out of this world, wine was decent (not really a wine drinker but good enough for me), service was fine at the beginning. After our main entrees were served, we were totally ignored for the rest of the night. It seems the two or three waiters they had tended to the "large" parties that were there (hint-more money) then to couples like us. The prices were reasonable, food was unbelievable (portions could of been a little bigger for my taste), service was okay until the end. I had to flag down the bus boy for extra water, desert and the check. Will definitely go back for seconds but if the service lacks off again, then I probably won't return.
