Great ambience, great food. I was a little miffed when the waitress told me she wouldn't add my leftover salsa to my doggy bag (I went at lunch and got the full sized entree, which I could only finish half of)... she said since it's "free" I'm not entitled to take it off the premises. Seriously? I found that extremely petty and super weird, but other than that, I love this place for takeout or dine-in. Chipotle enchiladas are amazing.

Great Mexican!. This place is at the outer limits of proximity for me to go during work lunch hour, but boy am I glad I tried them. Dark and funky interior, awesome staff (sometimes a bit harried, but always efficient and never rude), and THE FOOD. I pretty much always get the chicken mole enchiladas, but everything I have stolen from other people's plates has been top-notch :)

Love 'em.

Very dissapointed..... Bottom Line.....

I am in the food business for a long time.

I used to go to Baby Bo's at least one time a week for over ten years.

I have to agree I was there a couple of weeks ago and it has changed and is not up to the level that it was...

I agree 100% with another reviewer that the bartender- it was a woman was nasty and had an attitude that sucked. The pico was not as good as always and the burrito was actually smaller than I remember it to be.

I could live with the food situation because I am in the business but the attitude--no way--if I owned the place there would be write ups or firings and in this troubled economy there are alot of people who are honest and willing to do a job for less...What a shame to this very nice little restaurant... BTY the margaritas are made with the cheapest Tequilla--Montazuma or that other no name brand...I would rather serve a quality product and charge more--no excuse for lack of quality....

Worst service from bartender ever. Last night my friends and I went in and were treated so rudely by the staff (the bartender in particular) that we left before even trying the food!!! When the staff acts as if you're not wanted, and you live around the corner, there are definitely other places to go.

They definitely need a staff overhaul.

Adios Customer Service! Ole!. A few tips Baby Bo's... first, dining tables aren't baby changing tables. I know it was early in the afternoon on Saturday and the restaurant was empty when I walked in to see if I could make reservations later in the evening, and they were probably owner's family or something, but come on -- use some common sense. Second, even if you "don't take reservations," there are certainly other ways to be somewhat accomodating to bring business to your establishment. Especially when you can guarantee a large tab. And there's no reason to be curt with me when all I'm trying to do is bring you business. I certainly wasn't rude to you. Also, I walked in the door to make reservations, which means I'm probably from the neighborhood and someone you would want as a repeat customer. If you don't want my business you did a good job of making sure you never get it. Remember, restaurants don't deserve my business... you need to earn it. Sometimes restaurants in Manhattan forget that, and from some of the other comments on here it seems that Baby Bo's sense of entitlement has gotten the best of them. Good service begets good recommendations. So, I suggest everyone go to Mexico Lindo on 26th and 2nd for examples of wonderful service, and enjoy the great food and atmosphere while you're there (that's where I eventually made reservations). They've apparently been around for 30 years... so they must be doing something right (take notes Baby Bo's).

The Service Needs Improvement (A Lot). I dined at Baby Bo's Last week to celebrate a birthday. It was my first time there but my friend's 5th. One of the waitresses and manager both were rude. After 1 hour, they kept asking for our table even though we had kept ordering food and drinks. They offered to move us to the bar for a free drink (no premium alcohol he said). We did not ask and certainly did not care not even for the free drink. It was the manner in which we were approached. Totally no class at all. Sure this is not the Four Seasons but patrons of any establishment should be respected.

Our surf and turf appetizers arrived cold both times and the guacamole was so-so. The Pomegranate Margarita also was o.k. My friend said that the quality of food and drinks since her last visit 2 months ago has gone south and that maybe management had changed.

The bathroom needs an overhaul (really).

We will not go back.

Great margaritas, Great cheese, chipolte enchiladas.... Margaritas were amazing... Try the enchiladas, They come with original rice and beans and were amazingly good. It reminds me of home-cooked restaraunts in the midwest. Decor is very unique. They also carry Don Julio, a very good tequila that can be shot without being chilled... I will surely be back...

Decor is great, food is average. Had dinner at Baby Bo's last night. The decor is great - intimate place that makes you feel like you're in Tijuana. Happy Hour has 1/2 price margaritas til 7 which is nice. The guacamole was lacking any taste, but the salsa had a nice kick to it. The food was average - we ordered quite the array of items, and nothing was fantastic nor was it terrible. The bill came to about $100 for 4 of us (which included 2 beers and a margarita). Probably won't go back.

Pretty good food. I ordered a salad and chips from seamless. They were both good, though not AMAZING. Price is decent.

Real Mex in Murray Hill. Unlike Rio Grande which is really better for Margaritas Baby Bo's is really good for food and drinks. The place is small but done in an authentic Mexican setting with bright colors and decorations. Service is attentive without being pushy. Prices are reasonable. With margaritas, skip the pitcher and go by the glass, it'll be cheaper for you that way. Food I like: The free salsa has an extra kick in it that makes it really good. Guac is good as well. The fish tacos (soft) and mini tacos are both really, really good. Friends have enjoyed the fajitas (although ti comes out really sizzling) and chimichangas. They don't take reservations but, I've never really had a problem with it.
