“But the workers in there are rude and smack the pizza box down for no reason”
“We requested a good dry bottle of red, it wasn't great but the pizza was well worth it.”
Authentic, cheap, will come back.
I like bella, been there since a long time. I always run there for their awesome specials and their grandma pizza. Never knew about their late night dining room service until recently and were very please with the experience.
i will have to say, if you are looking for an authentic and affordable Italian cuisine, you have to go there.
bush league nimrods. pretty horrible delivery service. hour and half for delivery for 5 blocks away. no real apology and lies about when the food was coming. piss poor with no accountability or responsibility. not even a busy night by all accounts. not the delivery guy's fault either.
tourist trap in new york: stay away !!.
8 $ bottle of water, 14 $ a small plate of old cheese and passed away prociutto [1 slice!!]: the worst italian restaurant i ever been in US.
In addition they force a 15 % of service: ILLEGAL !!!
Somebody has to stop them.
GET THE SQUARE slice. the best sicilian slice in the city bar none, the ONLY pizzeria i go to and get the square slice, i can't get regulaR CAUSE THE SQUARE SLICE IS way way TO GO TO PASS UP
Gotta try the Grandma's. We walked in to the place late after a weekday night of drinking. I asked them to bring our party of 4 their best pie. The guy told me to sit down and they would "take care" of us. We requested a good dry bottle of red, it wasn't great but the pizza was well worth it. They brought out the Grandma's square slice with fresh basil... it was AWESOME! We went back two more times that week!
A midtown Italian joint known for its pies..
In Short
The nondescript setting of this Italian institution may explain why deliverymen run back and forth transporting pies to midtown offices. The pizza is the specialty of the house, although there's an extensive menu of salads, pasta, chicken, veal and fish dishes. The pies belong to the thin, crisp-crust camp, and they arrive with fresh mozzarella, tangy tomato sauce and plenty of toppings (such as sun-dried tomatoes, pesto and zucchini).
get the square slice. best in the city no doubt and the grandma's square slice is even better then that. But the workers in there are rude and smack the pizza box down for no reason
Awesome!!. Pizza is very good; the veal is excellent as is the penne bolognse. Go, this place does not miss.
Great pizza. The pizza here is really great. I have my co-workers hooked on the pizza here -especially the sun dried tomato pizza. The sauce is sweet and the crust is delicious.
good pizza. goos pizza, and selection of pre made slices. Plenty of seating. Best pizza in the nabe.
