This subterranean hotel bar combines an eclectic mix of eras, brimming with ornate gold and bold velvets. There are tall tables and chairs for two, mod sectional leather seating for groups and even a large retro bed. With its haute parties, tasty martini list and offerings from Asia de Cuba's kitchen, Morgans has shed its down-to-earth demeanor for a more fabulous one. Scenester DJs take over in the evening.

There aren't that many upscale lounge scenes within a few blocks from the Murray Hill Bar Scene. Morgan Bar is a nice change of pace... a good place to impress a date and actually hear if she has anything worth saying. Comfy chairs for two, excellent service at the bar.
Pros: Classy, sophisticated, great mood
Cons: Pricey (but not unexpected)

I visited this place after a friend of mine told me what a nice hidden bar/lounge this place was. So my fiancé and I decided to visit this place only to be disregarded by the BLONDE HAIRD WAITRESS. She saw my fiancé and I standing at the bar patiently waiting our turn to be served and she even acknowledged us, then a mature white lady came up next to us at the bar and the waitress knowingly ignored us and served the white lady before us. Needless to say, we ordered our drink, tipped her, and my fiancé told her about her total disrespect to us. Will never visit this place ever again !!!.
