Great Cut and Color – Got a great cut with subtle layers that fit my face shape quite well. The color was done in subtle high-lights and low-lights, and the effect was quite natural. The overall look, however, was dramatically different from what I came in with!:)
F.Y.I. Be sure you have time to spare if you are coming in for high-lights.
local treasure – saw the review from someone who dropped in once and decided to flame the place when I was googling to get the phone number , so I signed up for Citysearch just to put this in -- Loop de Loop is near my office and it's become my go-to salon for highlights and cut. I used to go to Louis Guy'D , Louis Licari, Oscar Blandi and other top colorists, and had my hair cut/dried at all those salons plus Bumble & Bumble and Moshe has been a godsend and does an excellent job (for less money). He listens to what you want, and over the past 5 years, I've watched dozens of regular, highly satisfied customers (men and women) come through for cuts, color, blowdrys and catching up with their personal stylist. Sorry it didn't work for larioshka , but this fabulous little salon in my neighborhood has weaned me from the "famous name" salons and my hair has never looked better!
Never again!!! – In the middle of today's workday I was invited to attend a social event tonight, so I needed my hair washed and blowdried. I went to Loop De Loop; I have seen it many times going to and from my work place. First of all - they accept only cash and Amex and I had to go get some cash. When I was back a hairdresser(?) washed my hair (that was the best experience at this salon) and asked me how do I want my hair. I said: wavy, not curly, not straight but wavy. She spend about 40 minutes drying my mid back length hair with blowdryer, then used some large rollers for about 2 minutes. As a result my hair doesn't look wavy, not curly, not straight, just some flips in the back and fly aways everywhere. In fact, it doesn't look like I just visited a hair salon. It is not worth $44.75!!! And moreover, I don't think the person who did my hair is a hairdresser, she washes hair better than styles. I'm doing much better job styling my hair myself!
I'm never coming back there and would not recommend this salon to anyone.
