What People Are Saying About T.G.I. Friday's

In Short – The much-copied look of hardwood floors, decorative stained glass, checked tablecloths, brass rails and walls filled with knickknacks has been a staple at this restaurant franchise. Originally a hit for its frisky bar scene, Friday's is now known just as much for its kid-friendly entrees. The menu alternates between typical American fare (salads, potato skins, Angus burgers and grilled chicken) and modestly international cuisine like fajitas, wraps and pot stickers.
Editor's Tips
- What to Drink:
- With 18-ounce glasses, you might only order one. Friday's is known for its comprehensive drink menu, so try something a little unusual, like the June Bug--made from Midori, coconut rum, banana liqueur and pineapple juice.
- The Extras:
- Gift cards can be purchased in denominations ranging from $10 to $100.

Avoid this TGIF !

This is the worst Friday's I have ever been to. Especially at the front bar and the back bar , Please check your bar tab EACH time you order food or drink and be sure to ask what is on special(drink or food). Check your tab often to see if they charged you the regular price(often) or accuse / charge you for more drinks than you really had , especially if there is a group of you laughing and talking and not watching bartender, he makes you think he is buying back a round of drinks when in effect he is charging you.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: slow service, rude bartenders, dirty , lousy expense food,
Not Worth the Price of Food

If you go to a TGI Friday's in Manhattan expect to pay about $6 - $8 more per entree than you would pay anywhere else. These prices are not unusual for restaurants in Manhattan. However, the quality of the food and the poor service makes this restaurant a poor value.
When I went to the restaurant with some colleagues from work, we received very poor service. The wait staff was inattentive and could not keep track of our order. The food also took an unusually long time to arrive at our table, especially considering that we all ordered a lunch special.
The food was okay. It's on par with the food from any other national chain restaurant. My meal was tasty, but nothing to write home about.
This restaurant is a good choice for tourists who don't know any local restaurants in the area, but I would not recommend this restaurant to any native New Yorkers
- Pros: Quick Seating, Wide Selection of Food
- Cons: Poor Service, Expensive Food
Expensive rubbish

This was the first time I had eaten at TGI Fridays...it will also be the last time I eat at TGI Fridays. Burgers served on stale buns, cold fries, dry chicken fingers, cold soup (french onion, not gespachio) and to top it off $27 each for one course with a drink.
I would go next door to Annie Moores & get good food served warm!
- Pros: Nice array of stuffed animals on the walls
- Cons: The food!!!
Terrible Service

I've been to this TGIF before - I work a block away. I've been to others as well. I went with 2 coworkers for lunch on Wednesday, 8/8/07. We arrived about 1 PM & ordered our drinks & food. It took about 20 minutes to just receive water & another 20 minutes to receive the drinks we ordered. Bear in mind that we only have an hour for lunch. The waitress was new & didn;t have a strong command of the English language. When I asked if they had gravy for the mashed potatoes that came with my order, she didn't understand what "gravy" was...Hello??? I ordered the Jack Daniels ribs - they come with potatoes & a choice of soup or salad. I requested the Caesar salad, which should be served before the meal. My order was served without the salad or the Jack Daniel sauce that's supposed to come with the ribs.. When I asked for the Caesar salad, the lettuce was warm & limp, & was served WITH the meal - I returned it & never got another salad. I then had to ask for the JD sauce. I finally got so fed up that I asked for the manager - his demanor was less than entusiastic. He didn't seem to care about the abundance of screw ups. I insisted that he take money off of our bill - which he did. But that wasn't the point - I wanted to enjoy my lunch with my coworkers. Needless to say, I WILL NEVER go back to this particular TGIF's - I feel this particular location needs a complete overhaul - from the manager on down. My past experience with TGIF's has been very positive - this one seems to be an anomaly. In [2] words - DON'T GO...there's a slew of other restaurants in the area which are very good.
- Pros: Nothing
- Cons: Service, Management, etc.
Bad food, Bad Service, Expensive.

I normally love TGI Friday's but this place was the worst. We went at around 1:30pm when lunch time tends to die down and we didnt get out of there until after 3:00pm. Our waiter was non existent, the food was cold and they got our orders wrong and on top of that the prices were double what they normally are in the rest of the country. Avoid this place at all costs!!
