“My room offered perhaps the best view of NYC I've ever had from a hotel room (rooms don't start until the 27th floor).”
“Service from the staff was great, food from room service was very good, the pool/gym area is nice and has great views, I liked the lobby, and security is very good in that part of town b/c you are right next to the UN.”

“Best prices I could find on the web was $240 per night.”
The overall service was less than average.... Although the hotel is beautifully decorated, surprisingly, the overall service was less than average. Considering this is the UN's hotel, I expected better service and more cooperation from the night front desk staff. At check-in, our rooms that were booked 3 months in advance, were sold (?). We were finally accommodated due to the hotels mixup, however, the one room had a foul mildew odor, as if the carpet had been shampooed and not aired out. After complaining to the night manager for about 30- 45 mins, the last room was upgraded to a suite. It was a very undelightful and unaccommodating experience.
What a Deal!. The rooms are probably some of the largest standard rooms in Manhattan, but much less $ b/c it's midtown east instead of midtown. The rooms are also quite nice and have fabulous views. Because the hotel is up so high- you also won't be bothered by street noise. Service from the staff was great, food from room service was very good, the pool/gym area is nice and has great views, I liked the lobby, and security is very good in that part of town b/c you are right next to the UN. You are also still very close to all the midtown stuff to do. The beds could be better and I wish I could get cell phone service in my room, but for the amazing room rates, I'm not complaining. I'd definitely stay here again!
Afternoon Delight. I loved the Millenium hotel! I was really impressed with the quality of the service, and I the spa and pool area was breathtaking! Located on the 27th floor, the windows go from floor to ceiling with a completely unobstructed view of the city and the river! I loved the spa services - I particularly enjoyed the reflexology. I had never experienced it before, and it was awesome! The woman that performed the service - Rose - was such a pleasure, as was all of the staff! I would definitely recommend just going up to the spa just for the day to get your feet done!
Lavishly appointed rooms in opulent surroundings..
The Scene
This hotel's glitzy lobby has green-and-white Italian marble floors, palm trees and plenty of chrome and mirrors. You'll find scores of business travelers, many of whom take advantage of the complimentary daily limousine service to Wall Street. There are also ambassadors and diplomats traveling with their entourages (the hotel is across the street from the United Nations), as well as wealthy travelers who like the East River location.
The Details
The 427 rooms begin on the 28th floor; offices occupy the first 27. The accommodations have stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. They also include dual-line speaker phones with data ports, and some have kitchenettes. Fine fabrics and textiles--brocades, silks, batiks and tapestries--are displayed throughout. Tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool and a fitness center providing massages are located on the top floors. The Ambassador Grill serves contemporary American cuisine with enough international flavors to satisfy the clientele.
excellent!. My room offered perhaps the best view of NYC I've ever had from a hotel room (rooms don't start until the 27th floor). The room was fairly large, modern and nicely appointed and the staff was very accomodating. Didn't get to experience the food, and some may not like the east side location, but the great pool, exercise club and tennis courts make this hotel an easy choice.
AbFab. Absolutly Fabulous. My wife and I were traveling to NY for our 20Th wedding anniversary from UK. Best prices I could find on the web was $240 per night. Hotel gave me $149. Excelent room. Large, clean, well decorated, safe (also safe provided), large bed, fax, great bathroom, all extras (iron, hairdryer, cable tv, kitchen?, mini bar, fridge). Unbeliveable view. 39th floor, facing west, framed in our window, Crysler Building, Empire State, 4 Times Sq. Didn't even have time to vist the swimming pool, sauna. Freindly professional staff. Organised Limo to & from airport. Luxury car to Jersy shopping (not fav part). traveled once b4 to the States (Huston, Cleavland, Philly, NY) Never have I had such care and professionalism. From the Barman at the cocktail Bar to the lovely Anna at reception.
