The Scene – This hotel next to Grand Central Station delivers efficiency but not a lot of charm. The glitzy glass and marble lobby has Donald Trump's name all over it, along with the landscaped yet disappointingly austere Sun Garden Lounge (a good place to people watch). One big plus for sports fans is that visiting baseball, hockey, basketball and football teams often stay here, making it a good place for autograph hunting and gawking at multimillion-dollar ballplayers. – – The Details – The 1,311 rooms are airy and comfortable. Love This Hotel.

by littleblessings

I have stayed here many times. It is a beautiful hotel.

I love the fact that when it is cold outside you can just shop in the mall underneath the hotel. I love the Grand Central Market. Always tons of fresh foods.

The rooms are a little small, but this is NYC.

I loved my stay. I usually can get this on priceline for the rate of $105.00 per night when I am lucky.

Good hotel all around

by jessdanyelle

My husband and I spent a long weekend in NYC and were on a budget. The Grand Hyatt had several specials that met our requirements. We thought because we were skimping on cost the hotel wouldn't be as nice but we were wrong. We had a very early Saturday arrival and the hotel was able to get us a room to checkin. They asked if we would be ok with a handicap room, which we were. Turns out, the handicap room actually provided more space than a normal room. The only main difference we noticed was the bathroom being a bit lower. We read complaints about the space of the room but we found it to be rather large for NYC. We also read reviews that the bed was not comfortable but we thought it was quite comfortable. We had drinks at the hotel bar one evening and had a delightful experience. The bartender was very personable. At checkout, the gentleman was very curtious and asked us specific questions about our stay. Although our room did not have much of a view, it was a great location and central to everything. The hotel is literally directly connected to Grand Central Station. There were many good restaurants in the area. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would stay at this hotel again.

Excellent location and beautiful hotel

by kaelaryley

My boyfriend and I stayed here recently and we were very impressed. The hotel is beautiful and the room was very comfortable. There is a huge sitting area in the lobby that was very comfortable and great for relaxing. The location was also ideal being right next to Grand Central. We were able to hop on and off the subway easily and because of that got to see a lot of New York during our stay. The hotel was also within walking distance of Times Square and other tourist locations. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay here again.
