Editor's Tips

Look Good:
Talk to an in-store wardrobe consultant for size estimations, clothing recommendations and etiquette tips.
Save Money:
Become a member of the Perfect Fit reward program to receive a $50 reward certificate for every $500 spent.
Save Time:
While definitely not necessary, scheduling an in-store appointment ensures quality one-on-one service.
The Extras:
Most stores offer three-day tuxedo rentals, which need to be ordered at least 14 days in advance to avoid rush fees. Rentals are also available in one- and two-week time slots.

Avoid for tuxedo rentals!

by 27yoUpperWestSider

Avoid for tuxedo rentals. I just picked up my rental, which cost me $120. Right off the bat I noticed that the vest had one button that was just a gnarled piece of metal. 10 employees and none of them working. Finally got one of their attention and told them----took him 30 minutes to find a replacement. The white shirt has a collar for a bowtie, not a necktie---and I rented a black necktie. I brought this to the attention of the manager who assured me it's okay to wear this dorky looking clip on tie on a shirt with no collar (bowtie shirt). Employees were totally unhelpful and incompetent. The tuxedo looks like it's been through a war zone. The shoulders of the tux are worn down and shiney. Pieces of string were coming off every garment. Total nightmare. I may go buy a tux last-minute I'm so disappointed.
