Routine after-work, before-train bar. This is mainly an after-work, waiting-for-the-train kind of bar. Buy 10:30 (when the kitchen stops serving) it's just about empty. That's great, if you, like us, want to come with a big group and drink. The service is efficient. Not gushingly friendly, but nice enough to make your stay pleasant. Though the beer selection is not spectacular (no Harp, for example... in an IRISH BAR!), you'll probably find something you like. It's nice an quiet late and there's a lot of space. If that's what you like, this is the place. --Drink Club NYC is a roving group of NYC Drinkers
Great Atmosphere especially when Liverpool are playing!.
Very good spot, everyone real friendly, watched soccer match there the other day, BIG Liverpool FC support in the bar!! Good to see! Highly recommend!!! Great Food too!
I will only drink Guinness from the tap in 2 places on this planet, Ireland (excluding Cork) and Patrick Conway's! Its def good stuff.
The Bar staff are friendly and aren't afraid to bust your chops immediately upon introduction.....Good sign of a proper Irish Pub.
Great Customer service, the sound of laughter can always be heard.
Patrick Conways is just one of those bars, you walk in and feel right at home. The lovely ladies that seat you are always friendly and ready to help, the bartenders become your friends. The managers make it a point to come round and check that everything is up to a great standard. The food, varied and very satisfying ranges from the famous "Black Jack Burger" to Chicken Curry on a Wednesday. Traditional foods such as cornbeef and cabbage, full irish mixed grill, Shephards Pie all go down wonderfully, but be careful they are "Belly Busters" naps in the afternoon after eating these are advisable. Everything tastes as it should.
Friendly locals and bar staff make the place a welcome haven for that quick drink after work. Make friends in this bar and you will have them for life.
A must have on any trip to New York!
New favorite spot. f you are in the mood for a casual bite and a few drinks this is definitely the place! If a burger is what you feel like, order the Black Jack Burger, its sooooooo good! Love the barstaff, the guys are extremely entertaining! Its my new favorite place! Highly recommended.
Pat Conway's is the bomb diggity!!!!!!!. I have been going to Patrick Conway's for close to 2 years now, and love the charm, food, and prices...I have brought various friends to this place, and everyone feels the same! Definitely an older crowd, but there is also a nice mix of young couples. Many stop in for a drink on the street while waiting for their trains at Grand Central Station. The wait staff is very friendly, and the value is out of control! I love their black jack burgers- they are to die for!!!! The managers are always walking around making sure all their customers are well taken care of. The menu is great as well as their downstairs dining area. I hope they never lose their luster!!!!
Love this place!!!!. A great place for lunch, dinner or just a drink at the bar. The atmosphere is friendly and fun! If you need a place to meet friends for lunch or before a train this is a convenient midtown spot where you'll have fun and get a great deal. Generally attracting 'suits' from the surrounding area, it gives the impression of strong customer loyalty but still welcomes new faces. The staff banter as they fill your glass high- the perfect place to dine and start your new york night out right!!!!
You Gotta try the Black Jack Burger..
A great place to go for lunch, I have been there many times in the last couple of years.
I have never had to wait more than five minutes to be seated. The Black Jack Burger is amazing , the service is great and I am always greeted with a smile and have a laugh. It is convenient to Grand Central and a great place to watch a soccer game or any game.
avoid the food!. ive worked in the met life building for the last 10 years and have eaten in patrick conways about ten times and i have to say i have yet to get a meal that is not greasy or tastes like its been frozen! i would say half the time i left there i left hungry because i couldnt finish what they put up on my plate, so if your hungry, try someplace else!
