Chin Chin should take it on the chin!. Today I took an attorney to lunch at Chin Chin. This was my first experience at this restaurant and absolutely my last. At first I thought this was going to be a nice experience as they were very attentive to the table. Then the attention became over bearing, constantly coming and asking us to order. The wait staff was constantly trying to serve us more drinks. My guest was not hungry and ordered a simple plate of fried rice with shrimp and chicken and I ordered Velvet Corn soup and duck with orange sauce. When the food came the presentation was terrible. The plate for my guest looked like there was a rice shortage and unappetizing. My soup was served hot but was tasteless. The duck was tasteless as was the sauce and the presentation was less than acceptable. I cannot recall ever having worse Chinese food than that experienced at Chin Chin. But I give them credit, they know how to charge.
I WAS ROBBED. after an enjoyable dinner we were given the bill which i payed with cash. our waiter came and took the bill. as we were getting ready to leave, the owner(Jimmy Chin) came up to us and said that we didn't pay. after arguing this led to me calling the police. in the end we were told we had to pay a second time. the police told us to pay w/a credit card and file a merchant dispute. i suggest that you avoid going to this restaurant,or if you must go, do not pay w/cash.
Top notch Chinese Food!. I went here on a recommendation by a close friend. To cut to the chase, this restaurant is top notch. If you like shrimp you will die for the Grand Marnier Shrimp. Have it as an appetizer and the move on to the sweet and sour pork. If you like something a little on the spicy side try the Mongolian beef. It is top notch. This is a must visit Chinese restaurant. I am going back again with some business associates for lunch this week. This is just 3 days after my dinner there. Oh yes, it is that good!
Great Chinese!. I've been going to this place for years and it has never disappointed me. The place is beautiful with a chic atmosphere. The service is always excellent and the food is absolutely delicious. It might seem pricey, but the portions are quite large and the quality of the food is great. I definitely recommend giving Chin Chin a try!
Nothing special. Food is mediocre at best, and not sure what the hype is about the dining room. Far from elegant food or dining room. So many better places with authentic chinese without French and Italian music playing.
Boo!. I have eaten chinese food at different restaurant so many times and i can say that this place is not a place to eat fine chinese cuisine.go somewhere else.
Good chinese food. Good service.. Went there on a Saturday in Feb 08 and the service was very good. Everyone was extremely nice, and the food did not take long to arrive at our table. I had a good time, and was able to carry a conversation without them trying to rush you out of the restaurant. The taste and quality of the food were good as well. The food doesnt have excesses amounts of oil. If you want good chinese food where the quality and service of the food are great then go to Chin Chin.
Good food, semi-friendly staff, a bit pricey. We made last minute reservations for a table of 9 during Restaurant Week. Staff was accomodating allowing us to be seated before the entire party arrived. The options on the pre fixe menu were broad, but I must say the food was up to par with what you would find at any standard Chinese restaurant, and probably for less $ (even w the pre fixe). We ordered 4 bottles of wine throughout the night. The staff was less than enthusiastic about serving us, and definitely took their time with attending to our table. At one point the waiter spilled a glass of water across the table, and proceeded to soak it up without the mention of an apology. Crossing this off of my list of places to return to.
Perfect, even in a holiday rush.
Went for dinner Christmas evening. The place was jammed but service was excellent. Food was even better.
The best meal we had this time around (except Grimaldi's which was transcendent, but that doesn't dount cause it's pizza not upscale dining)
CHIN CHIN IS AMAZING. Lets put it this way if you have money to burn and you love Chinese food this is the PLACE to go. Their sesame chicken is to die for and the atmosphere is pleasent and upscale.
