LOVE THIS PLACE! – From the outside I will admit that this salon looks sketchy. It is on the second floor of a building above a Pax Deli. I originally went here because a co-worker got me a gift certificate for Christmas. Now this is my go-to nail salon. Once you get upstairs the salon is very pretty and clean. I get my nails done by Rosa and my pedicures done by Joanna and I am a very satisfied customer. I get the pink and white gel manicure. It is a little on the expensive side but it does last for three weeks and it is very convenient for me (since it is close to my office). The staff is kind and friendly. I would highly recommend them.
A Review from a Real Customer – I read the good reviews on this post and had a certain expectation. Initially, I was not impressed with the general appearance of the place but I was meeting someont there so I went ahead with it. I had called ahead and made an appointment for a regular manicure & pedicure for two people. She had asked if we wanted a special pedicure for $60, which we declined and asked for a regular pedicure. In the end, we were told we had received the spa pedicure which cost $40 each, whereas the regular pedicure was only $25. The manicurists were very nice and did a good job, but the manager/owner had no sympathy for the misunderstanding and simply offered to give us a 10% discount on our next manicure, which we declined since we will not be going back. Given that their English is hard to understand, I thought this to be unfair, however, I decided that it was not worth haggling over. Not very business-minded of them. Honestly, their location is convenient but there are many, many salons in this city that are much more hygienic with a better atmosphere for similar prices. I'm going back to All Season's Nail and Spa at E 57th. Don't believe the good posts on this site - I often wonder who writes these posts. Who's to say they aren't written by the owners??
Pink & White Acrylic Manicure here was awesome! – I have been looking for a place in NYC that does "pink and white" acrylic manicure. (there just isn't that many salons that do this kind of manicure in NYC)
Veronica did a fantastic job giving me a permanent acrylic french manicure. John gave a very relaxing back massage and my pedicure was great also. The staff is conscientious and hard working. Very customer service oriented.
I highly recommend this salon!
AMAZING – This place is amazing...the staff is so professional. I'm usually very picky with my nails but they do an amazing job and even if there's a long wait, I wait because I know they don't like to rush on their customers. Joy, the manager, she's so sweet. She does an incredible job in making you feel at home. I feel so relaxed every time I get pampered up there. I wish I worked or lived nearby so I can go every twice a week. Unfortunately, I can only make it out there for once a week...If you live or work around the area, I recommend this place~ I LOVE IT THERE!
Best Pink & White in the City – Rosa is the best. To date my last filling was a month ago and I'm still 10 nails strong. You can barely even tell that I need a filling. Jason has hands of magic for the feet and or back. Raj is absolutely fabulous. Members get a 10% discount off of nail prices and FREE gift certificates during the holidays!!! I live in Brooklyn and I commute all the way to the city just to get my nails done by Rosa at Venus. 4 words THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!
great customer service for acrylics and pedi's – Wonderful service and great quality work Maria did an awesome job on my pink and whites. Got a great pedicure too. Highly recommend this place. I was in from out of town, needed a repair and wound up getting a fill. Hope you find it as great as I did.....I went on the recommendation of city search and found the commentary to be very true.
Great Manicure!! – I get the pink and white acrylic manicures there. ("Permanent French"). Maria there is fantastic. I started with tips, and now I've got my own nails being wrapped with the acrylic. I couldn't tell you the last time I had a broken nail. The manicure lasts, the acrylic doesn't separate from your nail, quality work!
I missed my appointment last week so it's been 3 weeks since my last fillin. I STILL have not a single broken nail after over 3 weeks.
They're wonderful! They're a little pricey, but they're a professional establishment with an excellent staff.
gift certificate scam – I called ahead asking how much a manicure and pedicure was. They told me it was $32. I asked if they sold gift certificates. They said yes. I said I'd be right over. They said, "fine". When I got there they told me that it was really $37 because it was not for me, but rather a gift certificate. What's the difference?!! Talk about being nickle and dimed! Out of principle I declined.
great midtown manicures – This place is great! Not only do you get a super manicure, but you get a complimentary back massage as well....while your nails are being done.
