In Short – For those with love on the brain, the rink's breathtaking views (a golden Prometheus, the magnificent Christmas tree) and bustling energy provide a great way to get lip-locked in no time. If your main interest is skating, there's room for everyone, from Michelle Kwan-wannabes to those who've never set foot on the ice before. To ensure more time on the ice, and less time waiting on line, get there early.

Long lines. they have skate rentals and a bathroom. The tree lights up there in December. It goets very crowded Holiday season. They do offer Ice Skating lessons there. Get a size larger in skates, because they run smalla ndmy cut your feet and that's now fun or cool. They are closed and made to a resturant from early april untill late October. this is near top of the rock, near 5th avenue, and many big buildings like the NBC building.
- Pros: You will have fun and meet tourists
- Cons: Pricey, extra crowded holidays, you may fall and get hurt
LOVING IT! Skating Rink By Winter--------Restaurant / Lounge By Summer!!!!
by katienyc123
I went to the Rink several times last summer. What can I say? Can you BEAT the views??? I simply love it is in an outdoor setting, yet semi enclosed from the public, (a bit escavated private lounge)
The ambiance is Amazing! I prefer outdoor settings (however, not street front cafes- either elevated off the ground or escavated-) Im a bit hard to please. But I simply love the ambiance....Nice, sophistacated crowd, Oh, boy did I see quite a few good looking bachelors!!
Great View, Bad Rink...

I really like this rink but the ice is always snowy and is never smooth. It's crowded in the skating rental room, but the skates are good. The views are great and it 's very expensive.
- Pros: The views, sights and sounds
- Cons: The prices, the rental room, and the ice
