AVOID THIS DOCTOR'S OFFICE: I had the same experience as many other users. I went to Dr. Hedley for prenatal care and while she was OK (the 3-4 mins I would spend with her each time) the staff were the absolute worst. Two stories: the first time I had blood drawn there, the nurse stabbed me five times while telling me in detail how no blood was coming out. I told her I thought I was going to faint and then she DISAPPEARED for over five minutes to "find a spare room." In the interim I just laid down on the dirty floor so I wouldn't pass out and hit my head. Second story: Dr. Hedley ended up leaving the practice so I decided to switch to another medical office. They made me PAY to have my medical records sent and then they only sent half the records. As with any other issue, I called numerous times with no response so I physically went into their office to get them. WHY is this office selectively sending medical records? Why didn't they send all of them? Totally unprofessional and unsafe. AVOID THIS OFFICE!!!!!

If you get stuck going here make sure you use Doctor Henry don't even by accident or in desperation bother with anyone else and expect the worst of the staff so you wont be disappointed.

Go somewhere else.. I have been going to Dr Christopher since 1997 when he was alone. Then he went to Union Square then to 43rd street. Then Dr. Headley and Henry came. (I'm typing on my phone so excuse the typos.

First and foremost, I was having pain and he sent me to scheduled me for a laparoscopy that he'd be performing. (I should've gone to a specialist). He operated on me on a Friday. When I woke up, the nurses told me that my Dr. Would be in touch to talk to me. They gave me a px, and sent me home. I decided to call him and he said he'd speak to me on Monday. I said wth so I'm sitting here worrying and no one would tell me anything. Monday, no call. Tuesday, no call. I called Tuesday night, he said he'd call Wednesday. Wednesday, no call. I called back they said Dr. Henry on call. Dr. Henry told me I'd have to wait to speak to Dr. Christopher. I got pissed and went to his office in pain and was told I had a slew of issues. Then his nasty office manager tried to charge me for that visit.

The office staff is very unprofessional and should all be fired. I once ran from work (across the street) for a

followup and left my purse. I said I'd pay the $20 later. The office mgr. Said you wouldn't walk out of a restaurant without paying. (in front of everyone). I said you know what, give me my 10 years of files and I'll be on my way. She said they charged per page.

Another time, I had an annual and it took 8 weeks to get my results. Constant calling and rude people. They said if there was something wrong I'd get a call. I finally just showed up and saw Dr. Christopher standing at the desk. He told me, my tests were unreadable and inconclusive and my blood work was (7). Meaning super anemic.

I've been standing at the front desk and can hear him behind the door saying yes she has chlamydia.

The ghetto front desk asking a walk in. What's wrong. The walkin looking at me uncomfortably and telling her I need to see the nurse or dr. And I will tell them. The front desk telling her she had to tell them first.

My last visit the office mgr tried to force me to use a cc and told me they didn't take cash. They had to have a cc on file. Bitch I have excellent insurance. Are you crazy. Then she acted like she called my insurance and they told her I was only covered 70/30. First and foremost here's my card with fees, second, I'm in the phone with my insurance and they say this visit is 100% preventive coverage.

Uhhhh I can go on and on.

If you can see Dr Henry or Headley. Christopher is too hyper like he's on something; but if you can avoid please FO so.

Yes it's my fault I've stayed this long, but it didn't become critical until the new office staff.

wonderful doctors and staff. i hate going to the dr more than anything in the world and when i went to see dr sean henry i felt at ease. he is a wonderful dr he took his time with me and made sure i was comfortable i recommend him to all of my friends and actually i was referred there and i love it since day one! my mom who hates going to the dr went to see dr christopher and she was actually very happy with him he sat down and explained everything to her and took his time with her. i never wirte reviews but felt i had to because i really love all of the drs there and their staff!

Love these Doctors~! RECOMMEND!!!. I have been treated with nothing but the best care by Dr. Christopher and his practice. And, as a busy woman, I have NEVER had to wait very long to get in, as opposed to my Ex- OB, where sometimes the wait was upwards of 2 hours. If you ever had a problem after hours, the on-call Dr. calls so soon after you have them paged. And, they are all so kind and knowledgeable! I dont know why anyone would keep complaining about being "rushed". I personally dont want to hang around my OB office all day long and I so appreciate that most of all!!!!!!!!!! I you are a slower kind of patient, then just go in to the office with your list of questions ready!!!!

I do NOT recommend. I have gone to see Dr. Christopher for my annual check-ups for several years and here is what I can say about him: (1) he will hardly give you 5 minutes of his time to discuss things; (2) you get zero preventative care (in other words, he is not interested in you if you don't need surgery - say, if you want some advice on what you can do to prevent a condition from getting worse he is definitely NOT your doctor); (3) he is pretty careless and always in a rush. To be fair, though, I think I must mention that he has a friendly personality and gives you relatively painless pelvic exams.

His medical staff is tolerable, but his admin staff is HORRID, HORRID, HORRID. RUDE, HOSTILE, UNPROFESSIONAL - to say the least. I sometimes wonder: what is it that makes an employer keep people who are just plain incompetent and scare customers away?

His billing department is a MESS and people who work there are EXTREMELY RUDE. I once got billed for tests that were never actually done for me. I've read they'd run patients' credit cards that they have on file w/o receiving consent for doing so... This doesn't surprise me one bit. They wanted my credit card on file when I came in for my very first visit there, I was smart enough not to give it to them!

One (and pobably the only) thing that's good about this clinic is a convenient location - that's why I continued to see them once a year for my annual exams, but not any more. Enough is enough. I am switching to a different doctor and a different clinic. Mostly because of the staff (although I am not a big fan of Dr. Christopher either).



To sum up my experience with this place in one word: BAD. I am not at all surprised to see so many bad reviews about this practice here. All true.

I would definitely NOT recommend this practice to my mother, aunt, sister, daughter.

Wonderful Doctors!. I've been a patient of this office since 1999. Well over 10 years. I have to say that I've been extremely happy with their expertise and service at the office. Dr. Hedley delivered my 8 year old son and Dr. Christopher delivered my 4 year old.

Every office visit has been a delight as I'm never left waiting more than 20 minutes at a time.

I've always been very comfortable at the office from the moment I first went in for an exam till now.

I've recommended several freinds to his office and all have had nothing but potive things to say.

Very Gentle Hands. I had a biopsy w/Dr. Christopher...I had spoken to some women in my office before hand...all of whom assured me it would be a painful experience.

Dr. Christopher made it a very comfortable experience. He was gentle and knowledgeable...what more can you want from a Gyn? I do not get the negative reviews...other than if you are pregnant and do not want to deliver via C-Section (not sure why you would not want to considering what natural birth does to your insides).

I don't get you guys. I'm confused by the negative reviews. I was referred to Dr. Hedley and she was the first OB/Gyn in 7 years to diagnose me properly. When I got pregnant, Dr. Christopher confirmed it and his schedule was more open (Dr. Hedley was always booked) so we stuck with him. He was always willing to answer my legal pad full of questions. Once, he even took the sheet and followed up with me.

When I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, I was confident in Dr. Christopher's recommendation for C-Section. My gripes about the day our son was born were with the hospital, Roosevelt near Columbus Circle, and the fact that students constantly messed up. Dr. Christopher seemed to be the only one to do his job right.

Today, if I call Dr. Christopher it may take him a couple missed calls to get me my answer, but HE calls--not a nurse. I don't understand how other people have such problems. This is NOT a dirty place. The staff is always nice and always remember my face and ask about my son. Maybe some of you are just difficult patients and that's why they get nasty. Ever consider that?

They may not be knowledgeable about all facets of how every insurance company operates so that is up to you to find out how your insurance provider will handle certain procedures and medications. If you don't know, ask. If your doctor doesn't know, ask you ins provider.

WORST DOCTOR'S OFFICE. I have been a patient here for about 4 years. The office has always been difficult to deal with/nasty but at this point I have decided to change doctors. I had a fertility test done last Saturday which was ready Wed. I left 2 messages for Dr. Henry and never got a call back. No idea what my results are and one of his staff told me off!!

How unprofessional can a doctor/office be? Do they think we call for no reason? Obvi I just want my results and wouldn't mind anyone giving them to me, but THEIR policy is they must come from the Dr. Now that I'm trying to get pregnant and I'm sure I will need a decent amount of attn., I know this is not the place for me.

I suggest you steer clear!!
