Quality is slipping.

Let's start off with the positives.
Location is great. The store is close to the Times Square 7 train. Selection of comics goes from independent publishers, manga, to the BIG TWO. They have a rewards program that gives $20 store credit when you spend $100.
Now the negatives.
The quality of the staff has taken a nosedive.
The staff goof around, every time I look at the shelves, the comics are creased to hell.
Even the comics that are bagged and boarded have more than three creases on the spine. When I see the staff handling the comics, I have to cringe.
They hold the comics like it was their redheaded stepchild.
Being a comicbook fan and collector, that is like slapping me in the face. If there were more comic shops around, I would suggest those instead.
They need to fix these above problems before they get a glowing review from me.

Comic Heaven

Probably one of the more well known comic stores in the city, Midtown Comics has a wide selection of comics that you can browse thru. The back issue are great offering an easily accessible wide selection though dont expect to find any bargains. Upstairs is a wide collection of figurines, busts, and t-shirts to sort thru, none of which is complete w/o of course a hentai/porn section. Go figure. Still though defintley the place to go for comic fans.
- Pros: wide selection, back issue bins
- Cons: pricey
