bmw525i. I was on the highway driving in my BMW 525I, when my car broke down. I called Active Auto Repair in NYC. The tow truck came to tow my car. They took me to their shop and I got my car repaired. The prices for the towing and repairs were very fair.

Solid Repair Shop. Prices are more than reasonable for Midtown, NYC and they got our car back on the date as they promised. Been here several times now and have always been treated fairly. I'll continue coming here and have even recommended my niece to bring her car there.

Great alternative to the dealer in NYC. I had a major service due for my Audi A6 Quattro and got a ridiculous quote from the dealer, so i decided to shop around a bit. After checking online and making several calls I finally settled on Active Auto. They ended up doing the job for almost half of what the dealer quoted me. Their turnaround was good too---I had my car back in the afternoon on the same day that I brought the car in.

Reputable Midtown Auto Repair. I've been coming to this shop now for almost two years and have yet to be let down. Their prices are always fair and they are conveniently located for me (I live in Jersey and work in Midtown). Repairs have always been done within a reasonable time frame and done correctly.

Very honest and friendly staff.. Very honest and friendly staff. They fixed my Audi after I broke down. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem (alternator), and they gave me an estimate before they worked on the car. I will come back here, as they specialize in Audi's.

RUDE & A RIP OFF. Was told I needed to replace the idle air control valve and they would charge me $650 for the pleasure. Seemed ridiculously expensive so I called around and spoke to mechanics who said that was crazy, that it can be cleaned for $45 vs replacing it. When I called back and said I'd be picking up my car without them fixing it they were extremely rude and annoyed that I had done my research and found they were ripping me off. They didn't even admit that the valve can simply be cleaned! Charged me $130 for the diagnostic. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, COMPLETE RIP OFF.

Great repair shop. I had my Audi repaired here last week after getting an outrageous quote from the dealer and shopping around a bit. They obviously know Audi's very well, as they had many other Audi's in there each time I was there. Staff was friendly and helpful and the mechanics knew their stuff. They even replaced my headlight free of charge yesterday-a week after I had repairs done at the shop. Thanks again, Active!

Very affordable and knowledgeable service for VW. I took my '04 Passat here for service after being charged an arm and a leg by the dealership for my last service. They did an excellent job quickly, and at almost half the price that the dealer quoted me. Not only much cheaper than the dealer, but much more convenient now that Potamkin has moved and there are no longer any VW dealers in Manhattan.
