“fun atmosphere on the weekends and love the free coat check!”
“We ordered drinks and food and everything was delicious!”
“We got this amazing thing called a beer tower which i had never seen anywhere else before, and we also got some very tasty martinis that had fresh pieces of fruit on the glass.”
“On top of having a pricey menu they have limited there offering to cold foods only - including the Nacho cheese - cold nacho cheese is just revolting!”
“Located in the Port Authority Building Leisure Time Bowl used to be a rundown dump but has been spiffied up and is now a nice clean place to.”
“The staff is very attentive & nice.”
“went to leisure time bowl with the staff of my company and we really had a good time, they are doing some kind of renovation so the place looked better than the last time I was there, we bought a package that included food and drinks and it was pretty c”
This is a very trendy, clean, enjoyable
bowling alley/pool place. Our server, Daria, was outstanding!!! If I were to decide to host another event, I would try to contact her first for ideas on what would make my group happy. She knows her business, and is very customer-service oriented. If she were my only contact at Frames, I would host many more events there. Unfortunately, she's not a manager.
The manager, JJ was condescending and rude. This was a small private party, but I would never have a corporate event there if I had to deal with JJ again.
Had so so so much fun here! I was on a vacation trip to NYC recently and decided to check this place out, being that a friend recommended it to me. I went with some of my NY buddies who are the usual, hard to impress types. Yeah, we were ALL impressed! A+ service, incredible ambience, and most of all, bowling and drinking! What more can you ask for? Go here. Go here. GO HERE! It's too much fun. Seriously.
This place is a lot of fun! Not a big fan of Port Authority, but 100% worth it if you're looking for an air-conditioned place to have a fun evening this summer! I had a blast!
Finally-Bowling that is a great time.
I thought I would give this place a shot since it I had been to other bowling places in the city and had a so-so experience. It was recommended to me by friend who came for her birthday party. My thoughts of "another place with bad service" started to change as we walked in, the security guard said hello. Check in was simple, maybe because we had reservations, but either way it was smooth.
We tired some of the food items throught the Taster that is available on the lane. Customer service was just fine and the ambiance was prettly cool for a Bowling Lounge.
I would recommend this place to corporate groups more than kids and family.
Had a Great Impromptu Birthday Here!. I was in Brooklyn at the Brewery on Saturday afternoon with the intention of going to the bowling alley over there as well for my birthday. When we walked in we were told we'd have to wait a few hours with no guarentee of a lane. I went online on my phone and found Frames. Our experience was great! We ate and drank there. There food was good, the service was excellent. My friend even left his jacket there - and when we walked back in to get it (15 minutes later) - our waiter had already picked up the jacket and placed it in the manager's office! Great day, all of my friends had a blast!
Great Experience with a Group!.
I went to FRAMES for the first time this weekend and i LOVED it. Our waiter was excellent, and it was such a clean and fun bowling experience which is saying a lot since I get grossed out by a lot of bowling alleys. This was more of a fun lounge/club with great music.
The food was also amazing! Very well spiced. Reasonably priced too. I will definitely be going back for more!
Do not ever go here, horrible. Worst run business in the city. Do not go here unless you want to waste your time and your money. They are running a rip off scam and the manager will do it with a condescending smile on his face. If you are planning on going, you better plan on waiting around and you will be lucky if you get a lane to bowl.
Hello MacMan123,
Thank you for your recent review on City Search; however, I noticed that it was not the most pleasurable experience.
Regarding the manager comment, I would like apologize on behalf of Frames for any ill-feelings that were pushed your way. I know all of our managers here and can assure you it was not personal.
We always recommend reservations to anyone interested in coming in as we do have limited availability on some nights. It is always best to make a reservation if you want to get bowling at a certain time.
If you would like to come back to us, I can offer you and 5 friends FREE bowling and a round of drinks in exchange for an updated review.
Let me know if you are interested by email me at elsie@framesnyc.com or calling me at 646-666-2818
Thank you,
Elsie Ginsberg
Bowling lanes are too dark. I know that this place is more than just for bowling, but the lanes are dark and the only area that is lit up are the pins. It's like bowling in the dark. Very difficult if what you want to do is bowl.
Hello Kathy NYC,
Sorry to hear that you felt that the lanes were too dark! I can understand your frustration.
Usually if you come all days before 5pm you can bowl in a well lit environment.
I hope that this informaiton was helpful and we look forward to having you back in sometime soon!

Dance the Night AWAY~.
We saw this cute guy working their tricycle ads and he definitely recommended it (Not just because it was his job!) Place was a little hard to find, but the entrance is SO impressive compared to the rest of the crappy Port Authority.
After passing a HUGE bar (Happy Hour baby!) and awesome arcade, we had no idea what we wanted to do, but the front desk was SO helpful and took time to explain every option we could do in detail. There was a major drinking package (Night owl? Too drunk to remember --;) that came with a TALL "beer tower" that got us so drunk, we couldn't even finish it in the two hours we had to bowl! The waitress suggested we finish it in the VIP lounge and carried that thing all the way to this cool, private lounge area NO EXTRA CHARGE since we had drinks to finish! (Later, I asked the lounge waitress about the place and she said it was like $200 to rent the place out.) The music was WAY louder, but with a dance floor there, I didn't see why we had to let it go to waste! There was even a little stage where we could make absolute fools of ourselves without being embarrassing in front of others, the changing-color lights making it feel like our very own nightclub.
All in all, it's a pretty decent place and I'd so go back. The music was kinda lame, but the front desk girls said we should come back when the DJs were here. Any other time, it's just some set playlist. They say they got a dress code, but it seemed to be not a very extensive one.
Thank you for the great review! We look forward to having you back!
Perfect hang out in Times Square.
I was looking for a place to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. We wanted to do something that was centrally located but didn't want the touristy Times Square vibe. I was reminded that there was a bowling alley near Port Authority. So we decided to try it and it turned out to be far better than we could have imagined.
Our night here was great. Not only did we have a great time bowling with great music as a backdrop, but we also got bottle service. The wait staff was very attentive and it felt like we were VIP at a classy lounge. Combined with the bowling and music it was truly the best of both worlds.
If anyone is looking to do something fun and different than your regular night out in Times Square, go to Leisure Time. The staff is great, bottle service was great and you can never go wrong with bowling.
