Considered a founding father of American casual dining, Houlihan's transformed its once-kitschy decor and meat-and-potatoes menu into a contemporary restaurant serving eclectic cuisine. Geared toward a slightly more upscale crowd, warmer colors and modern art adorn the walls, while Indie rock tunes and a patio leading to a walk-around bar remind you that you're not in Kansas anymore. The globetrotting menu juxtaposes classic burgers and wings with innovative selections like tuna wontons and herb-cheese stuffed mushrooms.

Empty Wallet. Even though the place was empty, my family and I felt rushed. Everything on the menu is PRICEY. (Manhattan prices) Stay away from alcoholic beverages . A glass of wine= $5.75-- A bottle of beer=$6.25. I should have listened to my wife and had dinner in my neighborhood, Queens. It probably would have cost me half of what it cost to eat in Manhattan. Oh well, live and learn.

decent food-high prices!. i ate here last year and while the food was pretty good, the prices were really high. it cost me about $8 for like 4 small chicken fingers. the food was good though, we didn't have to wait for a table (on a saturday evening), and the service was good.

Convenient, but..... While the food wasn't bad for the type of establishment, it was mighty pricey!! I mean, we are talking $14+ for a hamburger! That being said, their ribs were very good. If you can get a seat overlooking the street, that is fun.
