In Short – Midtown office workers and tourists alike fill this fun and festive dining room for a taste of traditional Greek cuisine. The house specialty is grilled fish: The kitchen tosses everything from calamari to red snapper on the grill with a touch of olive oil, lemon juice and mixed herbs. Non-seafood lovers can choose from saganaki (flaming cheese), grilled lamb and chicken kabobs.

Bad service, Bad food, Bad restaurant

by 2001

The bald headed waiter was a real peice of sh*t. Totally ignored my table and simple requests. This guy had a real attitude and needs a swift kick in the rear. The food made us sick.. I would say you can have better dining experience in a homleless shelters soup kitchen. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!

Great for Delivery!

by hubriis

I need to preface my review by letting you know that we didn't actually venture in to Uncle Nick's, we ordered delivery.

We ordered avgolemono soup, a side order of roasted potatoes, horiatiki salad, Kotopoulo kebob platter, Gyros platter and Yiaourti. The order arrived quickly and the hot items were still nice and hot. The soup was good but not as lemony as I prefer. The roasted potatoes were one of the highlights of our meal - wonderfully flavorful and lemony. The salad and platters were great and offered huge portions. The Yiaourti was the other highlight of the meal...the yogurt impossibly thick and creamy, topped with walnuts and honey. Delectable!

Take a little vacation @ Uncle Nick's Ouzaria on 9th Ave.

by Hollingsworth

This is perfect place to stop and smell the roses; I loved the cheery atmosphere. Great place to go sip wine and pick and share a variety of mouth watering dishes. I felt like I was at a little wine tavern in Santorini. I recommend the shrimp saganaki or the flambeed Saganaki is a good way to impress your date while you sample from their impressive wine list.

  • Pros: Best Greek food I've eaten in NYC
  • Cons: the tapas bar is good for small groups and dates
