who cuts up chicken with bones in it?...No flavor. I got the noodles with chicken & dumplings for take out. The dumplings had no flavor & the chicken was cut up into small pieces, but the bones & cartilage hadn't been removed. It took me 15 minutes just to pick out all of the bits of bone.

Horrible service! Tried it once, but never again.. I went into this restaurant for the first time to check it out as I'd recently moved into the neighborhood and wanted to check out the local eating scene. I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered a quick snack - vegetable soup and water. At the time, the waitress didn't make any complaint about my small meal. My food came quickly and I was quite content with my basic soup of veggies. As I was eating, I was thinking, "I'm going to be a regular here." When I finished the waitress came and dropped the bill on the table. I put the money on the plate and waited to see if the waitress would come back so that I could get some change in order to leave her a tip. She never came back, never said "thanks", "see ya", "have a good day", nor any of the normal acknowledgements that waiters tend to give. I attempted to flag her gently by saying "Excuse me." She ignored me. She looked at me and then looked away. When I tried for the second time, the waitress walks by me quickly in passing, with a grimaced face, "Next time for dine-in, you must spend at least $5!!" Boy, was I caught off guard! I went to the "manager" to try to understand the problem and let them know that I would've happily complied had they told me about the "minimum $5 dine-in purchase" before the bill had come. Yet, it did no good; she behaved worse than the waitress and just kept repeating herself loudly over and over again. Never had a heard such a thing in my life. It cancelled the dinner that I'd planned to have there that night and my intentions of bringing my out-of-town friends to this place forever. I can try a place with bad food twice, but one with ungrateful, nasty attitudes will only get my money ONCE!

faster than a speeding dumpling . . .. These folks are my default go-to generic Chinese place. Admittedly, the food is nothing special but in my experience it is generally very consistent and reliable. However, when they are very busy, the quality does sometimes drop off a little, but I have never gotten anything significantly unappetizing or inedible. If I need food (badly) and can't bother to think any further, Mee is the place I call.

In particular, I think the Moo Shu Pork, Curry Chicken in Noodle Soup and Roast Pork are quite decent. They also have some specialty items like Chinese Sausage and Tender Steamed Egg dishes. And the best part? They are dirt cheap and arrive insanely fast. Now, it is true that I live within a few blocks, but I have timed them at under 8 minutes on some occasions - quick enough to make my head spin - and they have never taken more than 15-20 minutes max to arrive. And with their use of the computerized record-keeping system, ordering is a snap once I give my phone number.

Sub-par all the way. I ordered the simplest of meals: chicken broccoli & steamed pork dumplings. The chicken and the broccoli were tough, and the dumplings were tasteless with thick gloppy dough. Do yourself a favor, go to Westside Cottage II just down 9th avenue.

Inexpensive and delicious!. I eat here for lunch. The specials are inexpensive and come with rice, soup or egg roll, and if you eat there, you get tea. It is small and quaint, and the staff is friendly and quick.

Mee Noodle Taste So Good. Its not so touristy that one might run away in fear, but the food is solid just like their prices and super fast delivery. The actual restaurant itself is not bad but beware of their bathrooms (wink).

The coconut-curry soup is UNBELIEVABLE!. I trek up to Mee's from Brooklyn JUST for the curry soup. I curse the other locations for not having it on their menus.
