For more than 80 years, The Russian Tea Room has been a 2nd home for boldface names and intellectual elite- an exclusive enclave where actors, writers, politicians & businessmen planned their next deals and feted their friends latest Carnegie Hall performances. Today, The Russian Tea Room retains the best of its history, authenticity, and architecture, while offering fresh innovations: Culinary masterworks mixing Russian old-world classics (Borscht,Chicken Kiev), with modern continental fare (Pojarski Sliders, Smoked Sturgeon). There are 3 other floors offering optimal event space. They can accommodate celebrations & corporate functions ranging from 10 to 800 guests for cocktails or full meals & is the ideal venue for any soiree. The famous red booths, antique samovars, 15-foot bear aquarium, and 20-foot golden tree with Venetian glass eggs, all make for a one of a kind dining experience

Reopened after a four-year closure, this New York landmark hasn't changed much. Its surreal mix of bohemian quirkiness and slightly garish extravagance remains intact, from Christmas-ornament decorations to samovars to the upstairs dining room's 15-foot revolving glass bear-shaped aquarium filled with fish. The menu provides updated takes on old-world classics, including apple wood-smoked duck, borscht with short ribs and cocoa dusted venison loin. To round meals out, the restaurant still offers a massive selection of caviars, vodkas and teas.

Great place to bring a group and hang out, enjoy the food and the drinks, especially the drinks! The vodka is top notch. The environment is as you'd expect from a place with such a perfect name. Enjoy yourself and try some new foods, some that you may never have imagined trying!

This is my favorite restaurant in New York City. The borscht is out of this world as is the other cuisine, some of which might be a new experience for you. You never know who you might see here. The waiters are extremely debonair. This place is just plain classy.
