“This is a decent option to pick up some drinks for a night of drinking.”

Overcharging. Carnegie Spirits has absurdly unreasonable markups. I bought a bottle of Lepanto there last night without realizing that they charge 80% more than every other liquor store in town -- including one just 2 blocks away. Without having time to comparison shop, it’s ultimately my fault for getting ripped off so I’m posting here in the hopes that others won't suffer the same consequence. When I returned to the store less than 30 minutes after purchasing with receipt in hand, the owner could not have been more rude and disrespectful -- yelling, rolling his eyes, mocking me to other customers, etc. I calmly asked for him to be reasonable, decent and provide some minor level of customer service either by refunding me (he said that is against NYS law) or providing store credit for at least a fraction of the inflated charge which he practically spit on me for daring to suggest. I urge you not to patronize this business.
