Carnegie Hall In Manhattan

I think that once upon a time Luciano Pavarotti performed here way before he died. I went here when I was little. The stage for teh orchestra, the audience, the seats,a nd teh auditirium could be much larger. Lots of conference meetings and lectures are held here. I hear that they have a students program here. I just don't like the operah performences, that kinda music makes me cry, and I dunno why, lol. There are always police or undercovered cops montoring this place and people actions, incase of crime rate, especially the security got tight in a big public place like here after 9/11. Yes mozart and composers, batons, and conductors are used here. This is a serious place, no play. Teachers will handle no foolplay or immaturity or they'll kick you out. Theatre is very strict here. They monitor your posture and give you critique and you may not like it. They want practicing times to be made perfect. If you take this palce for granted, it will be no fun.

• Pros: Good teaching and great shows
• Cons: Security guards love excersizing their authorities

Customer service nightmare endless telemarketing

We probably visited more than ten concerts in last two years at the Carnegie hall, and we were always impressed with the people working at the hall.

However, we are not impressed with the customer service rep on the phone, and their subscription service who never stop calling us at home, mobile, and office. Once you buy ticket there, you will get calls day and night regardless, Carnegie subscription service is more hardcore than credict companies. Not mention They are rude, they do not know anything about the ticketing rules, and they only care about their sales.

We are fed up with their rude service, and we decided to cancel our subscription. I also advised our Corporate HQ to not give any donation to Carnegie hall.

If they do not value customers, then why do we bother?

• Cons: Endless telemarketing, Rude customer service, Bad ticketing

New York's Best Concert Hall

Despite good competition from its younger sister at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall remains one of the best places to hear music in this city. It was originally opened in the late 19th century and since then has been one of the world's most beloved concert halls. Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Mahler, Goodman, Ellington, Basie, Winston Churchill, Dolly Parton, Bill Cosby, PDQ Bach and so many others have performed here and the list will continue to grow. One note: this hall badly needs a large, concert pipe organ.

• Pros: Acoustics, History, ambience
• Cons: no pipe organ, uncomfortable, many stairs
