I love this place!. I went to Joe last week very scared about letting anyone cut my hair as I had just had someone butcher my hair the week prior but knew I couldn't live with it the way it was.

Even though the salon is at a very high end hotel, the staff is extremely nice - not stuck up at all. Joe took his time and examined my hair very closely before we decided to cut. After Joe finished cutting and styling my hair I wanted to cry...tears of joy!!! He took what had been a hair nightmare and made me happy with my look - and took the time to show me how to properly style so I could re-create at home (which basically takes no effort because the cut is just that good!).

I have found my stylist - can never imagine going to anyone else! And that's saying a lot because I'm usually happy to bounce from stylist to stylist..One last note - the salon allows you to add the gratuity onto your credit card which no salons do anymore and for a girl who always forgets to get cash this is a good thing!

Get Noticed for Being Beautiful!. I was looking for a new stylist and Sonia was referred by a friend. Wow! I'm so glad I asked about her! My hair has never looked this good!

I have fine hair and I'm on a constant quest for body. Sonia gave me a haircut that is so easy to get the volume I want, in the time I want to spend on my hair (which is as little as possible). My hair looks great all day! It doesn't fall flat after an hour. Truly an amazing feat!

If that weren't enough, I got to see Sonia's remarkable talent with color when she took me seamlessly from a blond to a redhead. I was searching for a "new look" and she helped guide me into this beautiful rich auburn shade. As much as I love my cut, I love my color even more! It is truly perfection! I now have a polish and a certain poise to my look that gets noticed in a room or while walking down the street. Thanks, Sonia! You are truly an amazing talent!

My favorite NYC salon!. I adore this Salon! And being in the business of public relations, I have been exposed to just about every salon in NYC. I met owner Anastasia in the early 90's -- I haven't had to look for another salon since! Wherever she goes, I follow, I know she puts together an amazing team. I travel in from CT and know that when I arrive, I can relax and have the best color, cut (by the extraordinary Daniel Chow) or pedicure by Alla....at The Penisula Hotel on Fifth Avenue, the view is unmatched.

Best Haircut of my life!. I have been going to the Melange Salon for a few years now and just love it. Trish Jones is my hairstylist and she is absolutely incredible. Every time I leave her chair I leave feeling beautiful and glamorous. The staff is very friendly. The salon is being renovated right now, but the location is the Peninsula and it doesn't get more glamorous then that. I would recommend this salon to any and everyone. And ask for Trish, she will take great care of you.

Gotta love it!. Following recommendations from a friend, I started going to the Melange Salon last spring and I have never been disappointed. Anastasia and her staff are very professional and they always listen to my wishes without being afraid to share their opinions about what they believe looks best on me. I have long straight hair and I usually get a trim. However, one of my best friends who also goes there and has long curly hair loves to change her look every two or three months and they work wonders with it. Their color expertise is simply outstanding! A few days ago, Olga recommended mixing three different tones for my hair, resulting in a very nice and natural look. I have received lots of compliments from friends and relatives, not to mention how much my boyfriend loves it...Hmmm...You could say I have been feeling very sensual lately! ;-) In addition, everyone who works there makes you feel right at home and they are always on time for my appointments. I am planning to go back before the holidays for a manicure and a pedicure. I mean...How much more can a girl ask for? :-)

best stylist in the city. "Oh my God!" I just got back into the city to have my hair done by Joe - what a treat! I went from shabby to sassy and chic - just what I needed - probably just what you need too - and the spectacular Salon Melange is located in the super chic Peninsula Hotel right off 55TH and 5th AVE - right in the heart of everything FAB - enjoy! Oh BTW one of the best manicures and pedicures too!
