Yes, I love Sofia, too. She is a treasure. I am looking for Lissette who worked for Eva of New York for many years. She was an amazing stylist and make-up artist, as well as a generous person. Does someone know where she is working now? I always tried to see her when I was in town and wish that Eva of New York would bring her back!
Sofia. I recently went to Eva of New York to get my daily fix with Sofia. She gives the BEST facials and waxing, and I come to find out that she no longer is there, and that they have closed! To my surprise I find out that Sofia has moved to Salon Ziba, located right on 57th and 7th, and have booked my future appointments with her. I'm so happy I have found her! She really is the best of the best!
Sophia for Eyebrows and Bikini is the BEST! :). Hello! I can't speak for the other services, but Sophia is the best waxer in the city and she just moved to this salon from Back to Basics, which was shut down. She is a very sweet and careful waxer, and very precise! Highly recommended!
Bringing Old World heritage to the West Side..
Having served the Helmsley Palace Hotel for fifteen years, Eva and her sisters Ari and Zsuszi have treated the highest caliber of clientele, from real royals to the Hollywood variety. The Hungarian-born sisters imported their native country's beauty secrets and encased them in whitewashed, modern surroundings. This spot doesn't scream designer--or even indulgent--but rather hints at magic worked by potions and lotions.
Eva of New York offers a full range of treatments for both women and men, from hair and makeup to waxing, nail care and massage. Facials are a particular specialty, including exfoliating therapies like a French peel that promises to remove oily buildup and temporarily shrink pores. The salon's own products--from hair conditioners to foot care and peel-off masks--round out the treatments with take home supplements.
