“Until my co-worker recommended me to go back to Ziba and tried the 2nd Floor Stylist.”
“It was a wonderful experience and would recommend Chrissy and the second floor staff to everyone.”
“It is one of the better salons in mid-town with reasonable prices.”
“went here about a month ago because it was near my new office and had a great, quick, cut by Felipe.”
lovely salon in convenient location.
Had my first blowout in about 5 years at Salon Ziba last night and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a salon!
The staff is friendly and professional and make you feel incredibly well treated.
Their new downtown location is location on 6th ave and 12th street and leaves you feeling beautiful when you walk out!
Best Salon in the City!. I walked into Salon Ziba looking for highlights, the super friendly front desk people got me in right away with Lauriane who converted me to Balyage...I LOVE IT! I can't believe the difference its made, the effect is awesome, my hair has never looked better. On top of it, they have the full line of Moroccan Oil and Kerastase products, which i also love, finally a salon that has the products I need and stylists who know what they are doing. I would reccomend this place to anyone!
Alaa at Ziba's the best stylist in NY. Seriously.. Amazing experience from start to finish. Went to Ziba after a friend recommended it - I saw Alaa on the second floor. She was incredibly patient with my problem scalp and hair. She gave me the absolute perfect haircut for my face. She knows what she is doing, but always listens to your concerns. I have not been this satisfied with a haircut in a decade. I will follow Alaa anywhere, although I do hope for Salon Ziba's sake they hold on to her.
Gil knows blondes!.
Attention all blondes... Finally, a hairdresser who knows what he's doing. Please, go to Gil if you want your blonde to look good. No oranges, no "yellows", no coppers, no brass, just blonde. In addition to his good work, he also is a very nice guy. He is easy to talk to and will pamper you! woo hoo!
Also, the staff is very friendly there. Fun environment. Clean.
Francois is amazing!.
Francois is undoubtedly the best hairdresser I've ever been to. Every time I go to see him I am thrilled with the results. He's incredibly talented.
For color I followed Adrianna to Riccardo Maggiore, however...I just think she's too good not to follow, and she is so attentive.
Great Brazilian Keratin Treatment Experience.
So just had a BrazilianKeratin Treatment or Brazilian Blowout at Salon Ziba in Manhattan.
Great process..here is the low down.
Patricia has been with the salon for over 5 years and does about 10 treatments a week, so I felt very comfortable.
First they washed my hair about 3 times to get it really clean and clear of any product.
Then they apply a clear thin plastic mask over my face to protect my eyes from the product.
The treatment is clear and gel like in texture and has really no smell. Patricia applied the product on in small little sections - a little goes a long way - directly onto my damp hair.
After the product is applied she then blow dried my hair with a round brush to get it smooth and dry for the next essential step...the flat iron.
Patricia then went in section by small section flat ironing my hair to seal in the treatment...this is the key. At this point you can touch it, and it is incredibly soft.
Finally after all of this detailed work she washed my hair with a special shampoo and condition which she recommended I buy and then applied a small amount of leave in product from the same company.
Once she finished washing and conditioning my hair she styled it the way I wanted...full, smooth large curls with side swept bangs...it looked great.
The treatment will run you approximately $350-$500 depending on how long your hair is and then the products are on top of that about $20 each.
Also, give your self about 3 hours from start to finish.
All in all it was a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend you visiting Patricia at Ziba if you would like to try this revolutionary treatment.
WOW! AMAZING FIND! BEST HAIRCUT EVER!!. JUST MOVED IN TO NYC, AND WAS LOOKING FOR NEW PLACE TO CUT HAIR. THIS PLACE CAME AS A RECOMMENDATION AFTER A BOTCHED JOB AT ANOTHER FAMOUS NYC SALON. WAS TREATED ROYALLY, FABULOUS SHIATSU-HAIR WASH, ALMOST FELL ASLEEP. THEN TO HAIR CUT/STYLE/BLOW DRY, I FOUND THE HOLY GRAIL, A GEM OF SALON. QUITE UNDER STATED YET GREAT VALUE FOR THE SERVICE. I HAVE SINCE RECOMMENDED SEVERAL OF MY FAMILY AND CO-WORKERS. I GUESS THAT YOU CAN BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ (ON BLOGS) UNTIL YOU EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOURSELF.
What a disorganized mess. The place is a dump with no order. The haircut was ok, but nothing better than the $20 haircut I get from my barber.
they burn my scalp.
Burn my scalp
Basically , I ve been to the salon twice , the staff is so unfriendly , the accept too many customer that makes the staff doesn’t concentrate what they are doing , last Friday , I went to change my hair color , the counselor suggested something and the result was awful
The one who wash eth hair, open the water on the hot water (because she was busy talking to her friend ) and it literally burn my scalp. I don’t feel my scalp tell today ..
The staff talk in Latin , don’t understand good English , so don’t expect that she will understand what u really looking to do in ur hair.. plus the fact that they speak with each other while they are working in ur hair in their language so u really don’t know if the y are talking about you or what , I found it very disrespectful
Was the worst experience , they damage my hair , I never been in place like this in my life , ,
Its hell
Good cuts, but bad customer service.
I am not a new customer for this salon and had been there for years. I always get a great cuts by the couple of Master Stylist on the 2nd Floor. They really worth the price. But for the girl that worked at the Front Desk. I am furious for what I had been experienced. Through out the years, I admit that there are time I arrived my appointment late. But there was one occasion I came late of the appointment. The white girl that worked on the 2nd floor said to me straight to my face that "I am late. We will not taking appointment for you unless you leave your credit card number" Throughout the years, I never heard of any cancellation policy of the salon and who did she think she is. I don't recalled she introduce herself. I knew the Manager in Ziba is a guy. That makes me so angry. Besides, I seen myself that most of the time, that girl is staring under the desk a lot of time instead of looking at the customer. There was a time that I was waiting for 20 minutes and it turns out the stylist is not busy. He was just in the staff room resting. And when I passing the desk, I see a blackberry was under the desk. So that explain what the girl is paying attention. That the two star deduction.
Thanks to her, I decided to try some place else new. And it turns out pretty well. Anyone who read this review. Ziba still giving the good cuts. It just that my experience that makes me so mad and I am not going back there. Good luck.
