Editorial Review for Gravity Fitness – by Drew Pisarra
The Space
An elevator transports members and guests down to an underground workout facility with top-of-the-line equipment--a good percentage of it by Hammer Strength. Yet what has secured this gym so many corporate accounts is undoubtedly how its super-courteous staff delivers Gravity's numerous services within one generally low-traffic arena.
The Services
Free weight devotees may argue that you'll never get maximum range of motion from a machine. That hasn't stopped exercise manufacturers from trying to craft noteworthy alternatives. One of the more impressive (and rarely encountered) efforts is Fitlinxx, a computerized system that's hooked up to cardio machines and a weightlifting apparatus, which, via small video graphics, monitors your form, counts your reps and tracks your progress. If high-tech isn't your style, the facility also has a small penthouse swimming pool and solarium, two racquetball courts and a studio for yoga, aerobics, Pilates and belly dancing.

Insider Tips
The ExtrasTucked away inside the gym is a small spa that provides facials, waxings, hypnotherapy and Swedish massage.
Look GoodBefore he was a movie star and at a time when squash was king, Bruce Willis was this health club's first manager. Years later, the facility still has an active racquetball scene, which includes tournaments involving other gyms.
Know Before You GoThe 1/24 mile roof-top track above the pool is basically astroturf on cinderblocks, so if you want to run, either use the treadmills downstairs or head over to Central Park.

Its not even summer yet, but today’s hot and humid weather I said enough is enough and looked for a pool to soak in this summer. Hello Gravity Fitness!… after searching around I got a deal – 3 months of rooftop pool access, 12 massages and 12 private training sessions for $1700. Most of the other places charged that for the pool alone. I can work on getting my own six-pack in the gym and show it off while tanning on the sundeck and then a massage before going out for the night! A saltwater pool, lounge chairs, you can even order room service all that’s missing is sand on the floor and a steel drum playing in the background, and I’d think I was back on vacation in Jamaica
Pros: No seagulls flying around
Cons: No sand or palm trees

My girlfriends and I have been members of both Equinox and LA Sports Club. We recently decided to join Gravity bc we heard about the Quickie workout from our friend who lost two dress sizes before her wedding. We tried it and we love it!!! At first we were a little sceptical, but after our thrid week we started seeing results and now we can't wait to layout on the sundecks at the rooftop pool. Gravity also has great spin instructors that really motivate you to work hard. Definitely take Maria's and Jennifer's classes. The gym is super clean and has great customer service.
Pros: double thumbs up/The Quickie/fun environment
Cons: too many hotties running around ;-)
