Last stop for chronic pain! Great Doc, Massage, Staff.
by lizzienyc11
After multiple surgeries on both knees, hairline back fracture on my back, chronic inflammation and allergies, I decided 'what the heck' and gave Dr Piken's office a shot.
My first visit was just before a 24 hour flight to Australia. I was absolutely amazed that I didn't need my usual cocktail of painkillers and sleeping tabs to keep my back and neck from spasming and knees from blowing up.
Getting adjusted has been one of the most important things I've done for my health and for my life. Moreover, his office believes in wellness through nutrition. I am a believer in holistic and natural healing and prevention through food and diet so listening to him is a no-brainer when it comes to nutrition and wellness.
I also see Jen when things get out of control. She is highly experienced, listens and irons out kinks in your muscles and chronic pain.
The staff are also 100% into their job and passionate. I can't recommend anyone who doesn't believe, to just take a chance. I've been in-out of PT and surgery room past 10 years. I finally said no more and took a chance on something I hadn't tried...and it's working.
Great Office - Massages, Detox, Chiropractics
by nazankr
Dr. Piken is friendly, knowledgeable and caring - he really wants the best quality of life for all his patients. His staff is the same.
Jen is the masseuse at the office. Massages with Jen are relaxing and thorough. She really listens when you have problem points and does a great job focusing on them.
Recommend all the services at Innate.

Best doctor I've been to...
by karmalives
I've been to a LOT of doctors over the years, inpatient and outpatient, traditional and non-traditional...and not one of them made as much of an impression as Dr Piken (and his staff). I originally got a coupon on one of the deal sites, and since I don't have insurance, was not planning to continue. After the initial visit, i realized I had to keep going. I've never met a doctor as intuitive and knowledgeable as Dr. Piken. Just by looking at you, testing various areas of the body for resistance/reflexes/etc, he can tell what parts of your body need a boost (both internal and external). He explains everything he is doing in terms that are easy to understand, is confident in his assessments, and adjusts treatment to what your body is experiencing that particular day. Each patient is treated as an individual, so the exact treatment varies from person to person, but he uses a mix of chiropractic care, nutrition, supplements, and acupuncture...no chemicals. They also offer massage, but I haven't done that, so I have no grounds for reviewing it. I will say, though, that the whole staff is wonderful. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to chat with in the waiting room (though I have never had to wait very long to get in).
The main thing, though, is results. For me, even if the staff is good, the office is nice, the doctor knows his stuff, and everything seems great, nothing speaks louder than my body. Obviously healing from anything takes time, and nothing is immediately cured...doctors are not miracle workers. But whether I'm experiencing back pain, a sore throat, or a headache, it seems to be greatly alleviated once I leave (and it lasts). I have never before had the experience of actually feeling better every time I leave an office, and THAT is why I keep going back.
Excellent massage
by jalvalley
I've been receiving massage therapy for years, so I can tell when I get a good massage, and Jen, the massage therapist at Innate Chiropractic, gives a good massage.
She is calm and respectful, and has great energy. She listened carefully to what my issues were, and tailored the massage to my concerns. She has good technique--since I get massages for chronic issues as well as relaxation, good technique is important to me. And another thing I appreciated, she only talked when I asked her a question, or when she checked in to see how I was doing. I'll definitely be going back!
