While some cultural centers in the city rely on flashy architecture to attract visitors, the Foundation's modest space and spare, virtually non-existent decor is perfect for no-fuss exhibits.
Balkan Beauty
Under the curation of an earnest programming staff, the Foundation's exhibits, readings, and lectures convey raw beauty, tones of boldness, and the sense of a maritime culture that dates back to the foundations of Western Culture. Past highlights include the paintings of Pavlos Samios, whose granular colors and awkward bodies capture a stirring eroticism. The Foundation also co-sponsors outside events, including the annual "New Greek Cinema" Festival.
