What People Are Saying About Sea Grill

The Scene – Everything is lighter at the newly refurbished Sea Grill: the fabrics, colors, food, even the prices. This is one of New York's fabled dining rooms, facing the golden sculpture of Prometheus atop Rockefeller Center's winter ice rink. In summer, choice seats are set outside. For a major tourist destination, the dining room does not feel all that touristy, especially in the evening when the lights soften and the pace eases. – – The Food – Chef Edward Brown is a fervent minimalist when it comes to seafood. Went in one of the restaurant week with my friends.
After the Miso glazed Casco Bay cod the key lime pie was really great. One of the best sea food I had in Manhattan
- Pros: Excellent food. Excellent ambience.

The staff at Sea Grill was exceedingly polite, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was very romantic. From the host to the coat check lady to the servers, this place was absolutely classy. The food was wonderful - we had the lobster and the New Zealand salmon. Dessert was chocolate fondue for two and way too much for us to finish but it was delicious! Highly recommended!
- Pros: awesome food
This place really understands sea food

Went here for restaurant week with two friends and the experience was spectacular. The location is wonderful and it was snowing which really added to the experience as we looked out onto the skating rink. I had one piece of salmon sushi as me and a friend waited for the third person to join our group. The single sushi piece was a little (actually very) pricy at $5 per piece but the fish was really fresh and I will definitely go back for more sushi when I'm in the mood to indulge. We had three courses as part of the price fixed menu and everything from the mushroom soup, to the trout and chocolate ganache was absolutely delectable. The mushroom soup had an emulsion of cream at the top, which added a very creative touch and gave the soup that extra umph. The trout was cooked to perfection and served over a bed of shaved brussle sprouts. The dessert was edible art. The chef had arranged chocolate ganache, almond torte, orange icecream, and scooped out pear in such a visually pleasing way that I did not want to ruin it, but it five minutes later, my plate was wiped clean; my haste in consuming it was a true testament to the taste, for the flavors came together in a way which appealed very much to my taste buds. I love the restaurant and I have no complaints about the service for that was also wonderful. The bottled water was expensive at $9 per bottle so I will opt for the tap water. The food was great and you should give it a try. If you don't want to pay so much for the entre, then go at a time when they offer the price fix menu. Lots of places can prepare good sea food but this place turned lunch into a culinary experience.
The Details on Sea Grill
What to Drink:
The Sea Grill's wine list is intelligently chosen to complement all kinds of seafood. Ask one of the knowledgeable captains for a reasonably priced recommendation.
Where to Sit:
Nearly all tables afford a view of Rockefeller Plaza, which turns into a rush-hour skating rink in winter. But it's still good to request a window table.
