The Scene
Barneys is the younger person's Bergdorf Goodman, and the vibe is just as classy--with a modern flavor. The sprawling store is mostly white, impeccably clean and so enchanting it might make you max out every credit card you have if you're not careful. The staff are well-dressed and attractive enough that they often forget that they are there to help patrons. Dress very well and act confident to get better service.
The Goods
Fashion fanatics come to Barneys for just about anything. Women's clothing runs the gamut from Prada and Helmut Lang to younger, more affordable labels, like Earl Jeans and Three Dots. The beauty brands are extensive, the shoe selection is terrific and the house label fantastic. There's also a maternity section and a selection of bridal wear. Unless you're on a budget, there's no reason not to shop here.

Always great to go back to Barney's. Great clothes, great service, and great food at Fred's on the top floor. I was there last week and basically gave them my wallet. If you haven't been to Barney's you haven't been shopping. Is this 100 characters yet? This stupid citysearch thing i am testing requires 100 characters. What a stupid user experience.

barneys services are soooo bad. if someone doesnt wanna buy your stuff doesnt mean that someone cant afford it. the online website is a joke. out of stock items are always posted in the sale section. if you do decide to get one that is in stock, too bad it is out of stock too. and they cancel your order automatically for "security reasons" this is ridiculous. i tried ordering TWICE. it still says cancelled for security reasons. i recommend shopbop and revolveclothing. BARNEYS ARE OVERPRICED ANYWAY. EVEN THE SALES. the same helmut lang dress i wanted to get was on sale at shopbop but didnt have my size. shopbop sells it for $135 and barneys.... $209. I was willing to pay more to get my size but yeah i guess they are merely trying to give consumers the impression that they have alot of stock and sizes and their prices are totally a deal but its all a joke. dont ruin your day by being their customer. I have already ruined mine.

Barney's is pretty much what you would expect from a high end department store. The selection of clothes is way beyond my budget and don't interest me very much, but the shoe selection is amazing. The service is out of this world - you get very personal attention and are spared the indignity of ringing up your purchase at a register - instead they take your card and bring back the receipt for you to sign, so you stay put. Definitely an indulgence to shop there.
