The Best Vet in NYC. is Dr. Klain & Lenox Hill Veterinarian
by Mariac at Citysearch
Dr. Klain will do everything that he can to help and will treat my furry kids like they were his own!!!. and could never thank him enough!....He goes above and beyond the call of duty!!!!! and its all genuine.
Ive taken both my dogs Lady 9 and Hoover 12 to Lenox Hill as well as my 5 cats!..I would not trust my furry babies to anyone else ever! If you need a vet in NYC do not think twice.... I BEYOND RECOMMEND Lenox Hill... This is the place to go, if you really want to get the proper care. Doris at the desk is the warmest most helpful greeting you'll get anywhere. I love her.
All of the doctors there CARE about the animals and are so informative and most of all have patience to explain everything and deal with a parent in distress..ehhm like me!.. I have sent everyone I know.. and they have said the same thing...
Ive lived here in NYC all my life and had pets for most of it.. and never found anyone so Sincere in caring for my animals as Dr. Klain!...I live in Queens now and travel to Manhattan with my kids..and dont think twice, because I know they will be taken care of.
When Dr Klain has not been there and I have had emergencies Ive actually been nervous about someone else taking care of my kids.. and through the years I have met Dr Mccullen who operated on my cat L. Lou cat, Dr Pigman who took care of my cat Lumpy over one weekend and Dr Putter who took care of Hoover over another weekend... and they care just as much!....Its amazing how great a staff of people have all ended up in the same place! I can go on forever with ONLY WORDS OF PRAISE!.
Best Vet ever!!

We have a 10 year old cat, and recently got a kitten. We came home to find our cat with a red, irritated eye and thought the kitten might have scratched him. Since our cat is a scaredy cat and impossible to put in a carrier we were fretting over how to get him to the vet. When I realized that the vet we bring our kitten to makes HOUSE CALLS!!! I thought that house calls were a thing of the past! But Dr. Putter (the best!) and a tech were there in a flash and able to help our cat!
- Pros: wonderful pet lovers!
- Cons: none
Great in an emergency
by clinds at Citysearch
On Friday night at 7pm my dog's condition went from uncomfortable to emergency in the space of one hour. I called several vets who were unable/unwilling to see her at that last hour. I got to Lenox Hill Vets and explained the situation and they simply said "bring her in...now". In we went and indeed she had to be hospitalised as she was so ill. But, Dr. Putter and his staff were not only wonderful with her they were wonderful with me.
Two days later she came home is on the mend. I have had two follow up calls from Lenox Hill "just checking". I do not hesitate to highly recommend them.
- Pros: People sooooo wonderful
- Cons: general NYC costs are high
I happily Take My Dog Here...
by MargaretSiciliano at Citysearch
I have been taking my dog here for two years now. During that time, he has had his share of stomach troubles and eye infections, and he always receives great care and treatment from the doctor. When I take him for his annual exam with Dr. Klein, the vet has me come back again for a second appointment (free of charge) because he doesn't like to give the dog too many shots/vaccinations at one time.
Overall I am really happy with all of vets I have seen here and I would recommend Lenox Hill Vets to anyone.
- Pros: Friendly and professional doctors and staff
