what a true Gem – The quaint prestine atmosphere with a lively vibe of true bread lover's is amazing. The ingredents are pure and select.. Anyone that knows bread or even just like s a good fresh piece. this place is definatley genuine and the BEST!!! You must try it.. I did and I do not even live in the city but I had it on a recommadation. I will always visit there when i return into the city.. Loved the Wine bread, and cinn raison..
In response to honesti's old post – Orwashers does not use preservatives in its bread so it must be eaten same day. If you have to serve it a day later it should be wrapped very well and refrigerated.
Knowing a great rye – I saw Honesti's review and it occurred to me that some people don't understand a great rye bread. A great rye bread must be used the same day for maximum enjoyment, each day after it will become somewhat dry and stale within 3-4 days. This is because a great rye bread is made preservative free, maybe Honesti should stick to the Levy's packaged stuff since he / she is obviously clueless.
Bad Quality – The worst rye bread I ever had. I went to this bakery seeking a great rye rread, since my family and I grew up with really great rye bread , I thought this would be the place to get it. But I was greatly mistaken.Got it home and was going to serve it the next day so I warpped it up very well, when I went to serve it , it was like stale bread. That should not happen to great quality bread, they must use inferior ingredients. Never again will I go there. Not worth the trip or money.
The Best – Best rye bread on the planet. The heavily-seeded rye is the standard against which all other bread is judged.
Raisin Pump Rules! – I grew up on this bread, and a recent visit happily confirmed that the breads and the bakery haven't changed a whit. The dense, dark, almost caramelized-tasting raisin pumpernickel is true bread perfection, as is the rye and corn rye.
