And the ballet flat is perfect for fashionable New York women--stylish and casual, but not too casual. This Upper East Side shop makes up for its small size by stacking its more than 500 styles of flats sky high, with store employees climbing up ladders to pick from the stacks of leopard-print boxes that reach the store's high ceiling.
Hits: With flats in every kind of color and material, it's impossible not to find a pair to match an outfit.
Misses: The store's tiny interior means that if there is more than three people browsing the space can start to feel very cramped.
