I had an AMAZING experience with the website division of French Sole! Not only were they prompt with their shipping, but they were as sweet as can be! I am so happy with my two pairs of Sloops which were website exclusives...I cannot wait to find out what they will have next!
You just get NOWHERE with this company!! Shame on you. By far the worst situation I have ever been in with a company. I was such a loyal customer for years. The last few yrs the customer service at the LEX store has been horrendous. Same thing is apparent with their corp management team.I agree with the post below regarding the gentleman with the accent. I was belittled by him on more than one occasion. I was also given fake names via phone when I called to asked if they were making the sloops with a different quality in the last 2 years~they seem less quality. When I thought I was contacting " management" to complain about being humiliated on the phone /in the store~ HE( the accent guy) was actually the one to contact me back.hmm ,shocker. Recently, I returned 2 pairs of shoes I bought from their online site that were clearly floor samples and faded from being in the window displays. The shoes were returned months ago and CONFIRMED RETURNED by a woman in the store ( yes apparently my sister mailed them to the LEXINGTON store by accident). Regardless, they were confirmed received. The woman spoke to me regarding while they were physically IN HER HANDS and promised to take care of it.!! Her words to me where " Well, I dont see anything REALLY wrong with them" .I was like "are you kidding"?The right is a completely different color ( faded) than the left and the other pair is stretched out like crazy! She huffed and said she would call me back before I went on vacation to see if she could find better pairs in my size. Of course, I went on vaca without my shoes( nobody returned my calls) . I have yet to receive my money or shoes and have been chasing the people at FS ever since. NOT ONE returned call until I finally posted my story briefly on their facebook wall! And just like that ~ my post was deleted and I was contacted. I was given and still am given a run around about my shoes. I have been told by management that NO ONE ( not one person) recalls my situation ( meanwhile both stores know exactly who I am and whats been going on). I called the stores AGAIN to speak to the woman who CONFIRMED my return and now she claims she is having memory problems recently and cant really help me?? When I repeated word for word our last conversation from months prior -she was completely taken back. She then seemed almost " coached" in her response to me. Explaining I cant really rely on her because she has some serious recent memory fog issues. Really??? Nice. I have contacted the owner ( now that someone has finally given his name up) and it seems he is unable and has been unable to control the hiring, firing, training , work ethic or customer service that makes up his company. Supposedly they have "fired" some staff in the lat few months and the person who was handling my return could be one of them or could not be one of them they aren't really sure?? How is this happening?? I am at a loss and out over 200 bucks. I have contacted some Help me Howard type news stations and they seem interested but would also like me to contact the people who have had similar issues. I will not put names on here but if anyone would like to contact me I would be more than happy to share. So basically I am NOW ( in the past 2 weeks) being asked by FS for tracking of an item that was shipped via postal and confirmed received by the company MONTHS ago. I assume to cover the tracks of customer service they have been offering, they have mysteriously " lost" my shoes and any recollection of me. Clearly they are getting away with this for the simple fact that I no longer have any tracking info from 4 months ago and so I guess that leaves me screwed? Nice going FS...another customer gone~who cares right?? And for the giggling gentleman via phone who thinks I don't know what its like to "work" and deal with people all day ,and live in a townhouse that daddy owns~ I work my tail off ,live in a rental w/ 2 kids you senseless politically incorrect moron. So yeah-200 bucks IS A LOT .
A+mazing. It is an A+mazing store. I own 3 pairs of passport Rubber sole! The most comfortable flat shoes that I own! Very helpful and friendly sales staff. I ordered over the phone and the lady on the phone was very helpful and knowledgeable. She explained the sizing differences and which style is perfect for my wide foot and narrow heel. I bought the style she suggested and I was not disappointed and I did not need to return them.Besides I bought 2 more pairs in different colors. When I was New York I also saw that they opened a new store for high heel shoes!!! So French Sole is not a source of my flat shoes now but also my high heels! Great shoes, great sale staff and great customer service!
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!. Don't shop here unless you like spending $200 plus for a pair of shoes and get treated horribly in the process.! I purchased a pair of ballet shoes, had them shipped to my house. I was told they were leather soles. When received I noticed they weren't leather, called the store twice to tell them and I was told I was wrong...they were leather. Finally spoke to store manager who confirmed they were "man made" and most of their shoes now have man made soles. I wanted to get my money back. I was not happy so she told me to email store owner....what a waste of time....he NEVER responded. I'm not suprised, great customer service comes from a culture of top down.....if he doesn't care why would his employees! From now on I will give all my money to ZAPPOS, they rock and have great customer service.
I got a call back after being totally put off when I called. I called and the clerk was so rude when she answered the phone, but another 10 minutes later, she called me back to be helpful. She apologized sorta for not helping me when I called and I must say, I never expected a call back after she instructed me to go on line and look because she was too busy when I called to talk. At least she called back though she wasn't real helpful even when she called back. Maybe I talk too slow for NY people. I am a southerner.
Not great...... I used to buy most of my ballet flats from this store, but lately it seems customer service is non-existent. Not to mention the fact that they're having the shoes made in France to a lesser degree than before. The quality is just not the same. I've been buying London Sole flats instead (where in London they're called French Sole), who got the name first, I don't know. But I've been sending all my friends to either the London Sole website or they have a nondescript office-type store in Midtown. Sizing is definitely more European and run small.
Adorable Flats. I had trouble finding nice, comfortable flats that were actually cute. I came here and they had the best selection of flats. They had casual ones to wear during the day, dressier ones that you would wear to work and out night. The great thing is they last a long time because they are well made. I will be back to buy more next season!
Evil, Nasty Troll People Work There.
Don't ever call any of the phone numbers for help. You get read the riot act, and it is huge bother to call them to check a size or style. You would imagine from the store size, that they would love to have you just call in an order rather than visit there shoe box size store
Enter the store at your risk, the risk is that they will make you feel small and worthless if you question them on styles or how a shoe is supposed to fit you.
Folks, they are selling ballet flats here, not coffins. Please workers/owners of FS/NY be nice, be cheery
european shoes with the best price. It was my first time in French Sole and I have been in both stores across the street each other. One is the regular store that has also a big sale right now and the other one is the outlet with the reduced prices starting from $49. Variety, available sizes, smiling and very helpful staff. I recommend everyone to have a look at both stores.
cute small store. I have been to French Sole NY. Very nice shoes, and very helpful salesperson. Over $200 shoes are on sale right now. almost %50 off. I am very happy to be able to buy those lovely shoes with a very good price. Definitely it is worth to see that little cute store.
