I ordered " chicharrones de pollo " and one of the pieces had been picked at. I brought it to the attention of the manager, and all he did was exclude my meal from the bill. At no time was an apology offered. On the contrary, as I left the restaurant he had a smile on his face and had the audacity to wish me a good night. I was floored by the total lack of class and decency. I wouldn't recommend this place to a dog

Just Like Home!!!

Arriving to Cabana Midtown could not be easier: leave the car home, take the N, R, W, 4,5 6 trains or the M101, M102, M103 or M98 buses and you will be just steps from the restaurant. Once inside you will be greeted by the most pleasant, friendly and inviting smile, which makes you feel as if the hostess has known you for some time already. The ambiance is warm, festive and an atmosphere of contagious happiness permeates throughout the place. In no time you are informed of the specials and your orders ae taken just as fast. If I may I would like to recommend the churrasco and the permil as well as the ropa vieja. These dishes have the most delicious taste. They are juicy and tender. The portions are generous so do not eat at least four hours before arriving if you want to experience your meals to the fullest. Let me tell you the churrasco is a long skirt steak served with onions, garlic, and special chimichurri. yes, it is OK to have one more to go. If you like fish try the tangerine salmon, the ceviche or the red snapper. You will be delighted! Do not worry about drinks selection. Cabana is the place where mojitos taste as if you were at some tropical country departing with friends. All in all, Cabana is the place to go. I want to thank Ana Carolina, Patricia, Jessica, Kayla, Andreina, Ana Maria and Jevit, Jose, Jessid and the super fast busboys whose names I cannot remember. Senor Harold, manager, all the waitresses and the staff in general a big thank you! I have been eating at Cabana for over seven years.My son is now thirteen and he cannot have enough of your churrascos. You know him. He has never wanted the lunch portion. He always goes for the mile long churrasco. Sorry other millions of restaurants but I am not leaving Cabana any time soon.

Pros: Perfect ambience and excellent service. Well located and accessible by public transportation, many great stores to shopping and even two pharmacys nearby.

Great Food, Great Service

I've been coming here a few years and it is some of the best Latin flavor in town. I live just outside of Miami and this is one of my regular spots when in town to meet with friends. I miss Norma (server) and Vanessa (bartender) but the waitress who served us actually remembered me after having not been there for over 9 months. I did not remember her until then lol. The people are just so nice and it is like a family atmosphere. I rank this place, Savila in the West Village and Blondies Sports Bar (West Side location) as my local unpretentious places where to meet up whenever in town depending on location and mood I'm in. And did I mention the great food? Oh my God! The Tostones Rellenos =- yum yum.

Pros: Great Latin food, Service is excellent, Ambiance and color scheme, not so pricey for location
Cons: No Norma and Vanessa, Bar stools have to go
