The modus operandi here is simple: to drink and eat as much as humanly possible. For 70 bucks, a group of four can suck down the blinding, two-and-a-half gallon Trash Can Punch. Reminds me of Growing up in the South!

by Jessica Lynn

My cousin brought me here last summer after I moved to NYC from Florida. They were playing country music and I was instantly reminded of home! Whenever I'm craving some fried, southern food I head there.

  • Pros: Good food, Good prices, Nice Staff
  • Cons: Not the best place if you're trying to diet!

Top 10 BBQ in the city

by EyeGuy

I heard a lot about Brother Jimmy's before I tried it recently. I heard the service was terrible and the atmosphere was a little like a frat house. I ended up sitting at the bar to try their ribs so I really can't comment on the waitstaff. The bartender was very friendly and made some great drinks. The ribs were also above average for the city but the sides were nothing earth-shattering. I know Brother Jimmy's makes a lot of people's Top Ten List for BBQ joints in the city and it would make mine as well for the ribs but it's hard to give it a complete review since I was only there once and ate at the bar. I would go back to try their pulled pork and brisket since the atmosphere was not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. It's a fun place with good ribs.

  • Pros: Ribs, bartender

Rude Staff

by KECinNYC

I don't want to speak for the whole staff, because there are a few nice bartenders. But there is a new waitress that was HORRIBLY rude to myself and my friends for no apparent reason. I don't reccommend going there on Thursday nights.

  • Pros: $2 Beer on Thursdays
  • Cons: Rude staff
