“Saturday afternoon I was walking with my family in our neighborhood and we decided to order whole pie of pizza from Delizia Pizzeria & Restaurant for lunch.”
“It has the greatest pizza you will ever taste and some of the most delicious italian specialties.”
“This is a great place to eat for under $25 a couple.”
“would certainly recommend the food but the service in the back room is just awful.”
“The food was excellent for the price and the service was always good.”
Grabbed by Delivery Boy. I used to love this place. It was my favorite place for Pizza in the area. Last night the delivery man grabbed by butt as I was signing the receipt. As I screamed at him to stop he laughed and kept saying "No ma'am" I called Delizia and I was written off and told it was just an accident. I'm sorry, but fully grabbing my butt is NOT an accident. I will never buy food from here again.
Good Pizza. The pizza is a great treditioinal italian . You should order whole pies, so for three + people it's great. The restaurant has great service (for NYC) and lots of character. I would go again.
Great food, and incredible to the cancer kids.... Right around the corner from this establishment is the Ronald McDonald house. For this reason, you'll see on any given two or three bald cancer fighting kids grabbing a slice of pizza or bowl of spaghetti. The waitresses and staff are always so great to to my family (my daughter has been fighting cancer now for three years) and alll of the patrons we watch come in and out of the restaurant. Th food is unbelieveble and always the bright side for me and my daugher in making the trip up to NYC. Please give them a try. You'll love the food.
Great Italian Food. I've lived in the area my whole life and always come to delizia to get my pizza fix. They have the best pizza in the area. I've tried a lot of their other dishes as well and they are always good as well. The chicken parm is my favorite dish there. If you are in the mood for good Italian at a fair price check it out
worst service. We waited 1 hour from the time we entered back room until we ate. Let me tell you: dinner was NOT worth waiting for! The sauce was overly-sweet & poured on. The prices are reasonable which is about all I can say for it.
Great Pizza and Italian Food!!. I came here for the first time 3 weeks ago and have been back twice since. The food was excellent for the price and the service was always good. I'm also going to have them cater my girlfriends birthday party in two weeks and they worked out a very good deal for me. def recommended
Number One. Best Pizza in the area, classy Italian restaurant, the food is delizousa. ... always fresh, very consistent. wonderful staff
Highly Recommend for the Pizza but service in back room is awful. I am a loyal customer of delizia 1st avenue. It is the best pizza on the upper east side. I order for delivery all the time. On occasion my wife and I will eat in the back room. But the service is so deplorable I would never recommend eating in the back room. It's not that the waitor is rude but there is only one guy waiting on 15 tables. I would recommend eating in the front of the resaurant if one wants a sit down meal or just get delivery. I would certainly recommend the food but the service in the back room is just awful. Mr. Owner - please add more staff to back room!!

Saturday afternoon I was walking with my family in our neighborhood and we decided to order whole pie of pizza from Delizia Pizzeria & Restaurant for lunch. What a mistake! First, we were told that it will take about ten minutes to prepare, so we sat down and waited. We had some drinks, coffee and after ten minutes my son came to the counter and asked when pizza will be ready? Answer was "not yet" -- no sorry, no time estimate, no respect! Meanwhile people kept coming in and out, some ordering pies, some slices, so 20 minutes passed by. I asked "cook" when our pizza will be ready and there were no elaboration on answer -- "not yet". When I insisted to give me time estimate, in rude form I was suggested to get my money back! Sure as hell I got it back (for not-received pie), but who will get my ruined mood back?
