After snapping out of the daze caused by the marvelous accents of the lithe French men who work here, you'll notice that everything is the color of warm chocolate tones. The tiny little confections are all delectable--especially the coffre de truffles (truffle-covered chocolates infused with "Fine Champagne" cognac). The store sells a lot of chocolate by the pound (brisk business is done on the website). It also moves many less traditional, including chocolate covered fruit and chestnuts, and chocolate milk mix. Novices can try the initiation box, which features 20 different chocolates and some tasting advice.

This place was decent, but Im still loyal to my local favorite Chocolate Bar. CHOCOLATE BAR WEST VILLAGE Alison Nelson reopened her West Village location just steps away from her pioneering original Chocolate Bar: 19 Eighth Avenue between 12th Street & Jane, NYC (West Village) www.chocolatebarnyc. com/ info@chocolatebarnyc. com

While walking on the upper East side one day after leaving Cental park we passed this wonderful store featuring the finest in Chocolates from France to feed my sweet tooth. It was hard to decide from all the delectable goodies for sale but a few pieces of dark chocolate called my name. My favorites were fruit filled and absolutely tres bien.. We also bought a some that had marzipan in the center which reminded me of the chocolates you find in the Patisseris of Paris...Ohh la la...I would definitely go back to this store PROS: delectable chocolate of many varieties CONS: a bit on the pricy side but worth it

Tremendous dark chocolate here. This is a world class chocolate shop straight from Paris. They also have a few pieces of pastry but they are primarily a chocolate shop. I've never gotten a bad piece of chocolate here and they also have a shop at Rockefeller Center. PROS: Great Chocolate CONS: Very Expensive
