The very best. This is a special place in the heart of NYC. The women are devoted to their craft, treating it as an art form. They are attentive to the customer, insightful about options, and devoted to needleart. With great patience they provide individual attention to every choice - canvas, threads, stitch selection, finishing. We just love and really look forward to a visit to Rita's.

Nice Staff Great Inventory. Fantastic store! I have never experienced such patience and personal attention from other needlecraft stores that I get at Rita's. The inventory is amazing and every time I go in (which tends to be weekly) I find something new. I even took my first needlepoint lesson here about a year and a half ago and have been obsessively needlepointing ever since.

The Worst. I have given this place multiple chances. Every time I leave hating the place, which is a shame because I spend a fortune on needlepoint every month and would love to have a place in NYC for supplies. The staff is unbelievably rude and condescending. The selection is decent but not worth putting up with the attitude!

Best Needlepoint Selection. I highly recommend this store. I tried a different store near work first, but found the selection to be completely disappointing. Entering Rita's was a totally different experience! As a beginner, the women there were completely helpful. You even get a free lesson with the purchase of a canvas. I also thought the selection was great! In addition, the have a finishing service that will turn whatever you make into a pillow, chair cover, belt, etc.
