save your money - go somewhere else. I have tried the salon a few times. The first colour seemed OK, after that a waste of money. Both my colourist and cutter left the country and i had been shopping for a new salon. Read the reviews and thought i would give it a try. both for colour and cut. Consistently terrible haircuts and I tried a couple of stylists, terrible overprice blow drys and after the first time, consistent terrible colour.

dont waste your money (and its an expensive salon) and go somewhere else

My Girlfriend Loves this place. I bought my girlfriend a gift certificate here for her birthday last year and she loved it so much she persuaded me to go here to get my hair cut. this is now the only place in nyc i will get my hair cut. professional staff, great prices

Best colorist in the world!. .I have been going to Minardi for ten years. My colorist Victoria has been taking care of me since day one. She is such a perfectionist. The color that she does for me is perfect for my skin and eyes. it is always shiny and healthy. Every appointment she looks at my hair as though it is a new canvas making necessary adjustments based on a situation. She and Larisa always make me feel at home but also provide me with the most amazing service. I can't say enough about my Glam Team. This is the most consistent hair color I had in my entire life. I know every appointment there willt be no surprises. Always perfect

I Loveeee Minardi!. I have been going to Minardi for three years now and will never go to another salon again! My colorist Gion is the best I have ever been to, he knows what I want and need without ever having to tell him and it is perfection every single time! After my color I always go to Meghan for my hair cut and blow out. She really listens to what I want and does exactly what I want. If you are like me and have long hair I am sure you have experienced the "long layers" hair cut when they chop off all your hair, with Meghan she knows what she is doing and her blow outs are sensational! Gion always comes by to chat and see how my color is progressing! The atmosphere at Minardi is great I love being there so do yourself a favor and try them out make sure to ask for Gion and Meghan!!!

PS I love their products as well very light on your hair.

Fantastic Staff and Service!. I have been visiting Minardi for a little over 6 months.

Gion is the most fantastic colorist. He is understanding of what looks good on you. I have visited him and shown him pictures of what I want and without a double take is gone to mix it up.

He is a genius with color.

I am at the point where I tell him lighter or darker and he knows what to do.

He suggested I get a cut and blow out from Meghan.

She is AMAZING.

She is attentive to what I want - easy to blowout, low maintenance etc. She gives me a cut I can manage to blowout and look great!

Her skillset is hard to come by and I have suggested several friends to her - they all love her!

The staff at Minardi is all so professional. Its a GREAT salon and there is someone there for every one.

Amazing Results For My Thin Hair. I've been going to Minardi for two years now, and I still can't believe I've convinced myself to pay $135/cut; I used to cut my hair myself or go to Supercuts ($12.99) - but I would be hard pressed to go elsewhere anymore!

As a woman with very thin hair (I can hold it all up in a single bobby pin), I have a hard time looking professional, and had basically given up on my hair looking good - I just pinned it up and never cut it, for years. But Tammy at Minardi was able to cut my hair in an age-appropriate, attractive way, so I can blow it out and leave it down. I find the staff friendly and professional, and I've never been disappointed with the cut - to me, it's magic! She's made me look much more like a regular person -and I love it.

ridiculous prices, attitudes, and complication. I'm not quite sure how they got such a great reputation, but I had a horrible experience coloring experience there. I hated the color, hated what the stylist did, and when I told the front desk that I was unhappy, was reprimanded for complaining.

For $500 or $600 I think that they should at least be polite!

horrific experience. After an horrific experience I'm struggling to figure out how they got their reputation... my colorist was a complete pain and after paying hundreds of dollars I went to Ray's beauty supply and bought something to take the color out because it was so awful

Go get a box of Clairol and do it yourself--you'd be happier.

Just the Best, the Nicest, the Warmest, the Most Talented!. The warm welcoming atmosphere and calm environment of the Minardi Salon makes it an oasis for its regular clients and those visiting the city. Everything there is designed to make looking your personal best easy and fun. Beth and Carmine are generous with their knowledge (they will help you maintain your look wherever you live or may travel) and a true dream team. All of the colorists stylists co-operate and co-ordinate with each other. (Your hair color formula is on file, so anyone on staff can keep you looking great.)

Marc Minetti is my personal hair therapist---his great red has even me convinced I am a natural redhead! A visit with Marc is a true pleasure, and afterwards you will know that the right haircolor is better than any make-up or any outfit. When Marc is busy, I enjoy seeing the lovely Victoria, the charming Camille. On the assistant side, Gion is the up and coming star, and Chloe makes every visit a pleasure. (When you call, Heather and the rest of the desk staff do their utmost to accomodate you with an appointment, whether you call in a total hair emergency or you are planning ahead.)

On the stylist side, John James wields his sure scissors and his sure wit, and is a genius with rollers. Carmine Minardi's super assistant, Laura, now holds her own chair, and offers divine styling, including full curly styles that make me feel as if I've had my hair done in Paris! Laura is also that rare haircutter who truly will cut as little as you want---she can trim your hair so that it looks LONGER. I love this young lady, and am happy to be in her chair whenever I can. She improves not just my hair, but my mood. Whether getting me ready for a busy work week or a special night out or a public appearance, Laura is the best! A perfect darling, and a highly skilled professional at once!

In my years at Minardi I've lost count of how many on the staff have colored, cut, and blown dry or curled my hair with attentiveness, complete and total competence, and always, a warm welcome.

The Minardis stock an excellent line of hair care products--I've tried many, but their own are just the top. Your hair color stays fresh and vibrant with the shampoos and conditioner, and their cream oil is a true salon secret made available to you for use at home. The Minardi team wants you to look good not just on salon day, but every day. Ask about their own line when you check out....

A compliment from sweet Estella at the changing rooms when you leave sends you out feeling just marvelous.

EXCELLENT PLACE FOR YOUR HAIR. Over the years I have used many salons for my hair. Minardi Beauty Salon out ranks them all.

My colorist TOMAZ is gifted in providing the perfect color. You cannot tell that my color is from a bottle. He checks my hair at the beginning of every visit, and mixes the color to fit my hair's needs.

JOHN JAMES is my stylist. I always get compliments whenever I get a haircut. He knows how to frame my hair, so that I always have a perfect coiffure. One can judge an excellent haircut by its look when we have to do it ourselves. My haircuts are excellent

REBECCA does my blowout when I just get color. She is courteous, and efficient. She always does a great job.

TATIANA is an assistant. She does all all the followup care on my color. She does an excellent job too.

All the personnel at MINARDI'S make a concerted effort to please their clients.
