“If you want style at an affordable price and are willing to go to a little mom and pop shop come here because that is what you will get.”
Not good - unfriendly!. I have been going to Jeffrey Stein for highlights for years & Jeffrey Stein never says hello...The atmosphere is v unfriendly. I hate it...
HAPPY TO WALK IN. When my friend visited me from Italy, we had to get ourselves ready for a weekend night out in the city. So,we entered this salon and in no time they managed to gain my "subscription" when they showed that they can work under presure. The salon was pretty busy, weekend being, and yet we were both served in good quality and short time. Sean and Katto are two fun characters who not only made our hair look perfect for our exciting night-out but they also made us feel comfortable. From the entrance and all the way the mood was made of smiles and movement. Keep the good work guys! Ciao, from Fabrizzia and D!
CONSTANT IN BEING GREAT!!!. I came in this salon with thin hair, that grew in one year as much as it used to grow in four yrs. before Sean did my hair. This guy knows his work, my hair is soooo much healthier now, no more split ends and loos of shine; the color he did for me left me speechless, a blond in a nice contrast with my eyes color and healthy natural frame. He's my fave compared to other colorists from Bumble&Bumble, Cuttler and FF. Welcoming atmosphere in the salon and positive energy at all times I visited.
Run Run Far Away!.
I got my hair, "highlighted" here last week and it was an absolute nightmare!
First she left the color in way too long... instead of bronze highlights, they came out blonde! The roots were also extra blonde!
She added toner and then my hair turned this weird orange blonde color. She added more toner in and then it really turned orange. I started to panic but she assured me that a darker toner would make everything okay. It turned out freakin RED. I was absolutely distraught! She then dyed it a dark brown color but some of my "highlights" were not fully covered. I was at this crappy salon for 3 hours. I hardly write reviews but seriously - don't ever ever come here to get your hair colored. I 100% REGRET IT! : (
Now I have to get my hair chopped off to get rid of the dryness that all of this dying created.
Left with PURPLE HAIR!!!.
I recently came here to get my hair highlighted and it was the BIGGEST mistake I could have made. I should have listened to past reviews.
The hairdresser highligted my hair and after washing it realized that he lightened it WAY too much so he decided to apply a toner, which made my highlights PURPLE!! He continued to add toner to fix it but it never worked.
On top of having purple hair ,my hairdresser decided that he spent too much time with me and had an assistant wash my hair and then they gave me a hair dryer to dry my OWN hair!!!
Who does that? If you want a quality haircut and dye where you actually get your moneys worth then this is NOT the place to go.
Fuhgedaboutit!. I went here on a recommendation, what a mistake. The place was dirty, the stylists had major attitude and the work was mediocre at best. The highlights that they called boliage looked like skunk stripes and my blowdry fell one hour after my hair was done. STAY AWAY!!!!
User-friendly hair services at super friendly prices..

This Place is Terrible!!!. I am so sorry I didn't heed the advice of the earlier reviewers. Foolish me!! I too spent over $300 to get my hair done (highlights & a cut) and my hair looked better BEFORE I walked into that salon. The man who "cut" my hair did such a horrible job, I'm having someone else fix it. The highlights were not great either. Save your money and the aggravation & go somewhere else...seriously.
Too expensive and Too Noisy.
And what's this about not blow drying your hair? After a single-process color my hair was dripping wet - and I was told to blow dry it myself - or they'd charge me for a blow-out. THAT BLOWS!
Although, I did receive a nice haircut and the color job was also acceptable the rushed service, crowded, nosiy atmosphere and TOO HIGH PRICES means that I will never return. Too bad.
Hair's the best. i went into jeffrey stein salon on a recommendation from a friend and i have been a loyal client ever since. i received the most beautiful color from danny who specializes in color and a modern workable haircut from frederic. these guys really know what they are doing!!!
