“Worst service and overpriced”
“(With a price tag of close to $400 for salon service, the least I could expect is a full blow-out!)”
This Place is Closed!!!! Thank God. Worst Place ever. Terrible service and poor styling.
Excellent, honest stylists. Haime is the only stylist I'll trust my hair with. I had my hair straightened a few years ago (loved it then, now back to waves). I've also had highlights at the salon - which were subtle & natural-looking and have grown out beautifully. Recently, I went to him requesting low-lights since I wasn't sure if my hair color looked right. I was very impressed that he sat with me, talked about what I had in mind, looked at the photos I brought, and then recommended that I leave my hair color as is! And he was right, I would've made the mistake of coloring my hair. He's the ultimate professional and cares about his clients. Highly recommended!
Worst service and overpriced. Haime does a good job of hyping himself so as to sell his products at Walgreens and Duane Reade as well as other budget minded retail outlets for $29.95 but that is where his talents stop. I received a rush job and impersonal treatment, and to make matters worse, the product damaged my hair - even the blowout was substandard and left my hair frizzy. The entire salon experience was disappointing not to mention overpriced. Save your $500 and go elsewhere.
Straighten your Hair by Haime Munoz and life will change for you..
My hair is very difficult to straighten and since a small child I have been straightening my hair. I knew that I was in trouble with the extra process of color to keep the gray away. A very good friend had told me for years to change to Haime Munoz and let him straighten my hair. Well on my first visit, Haime said to me, I will not touch your hair for 6 months, so that you can have new growth and have most of the damaged hair cut off. I did return in 6 months and on the first visit I was a new person with straighted hair that looked healthy and I did not have to return until 3 months later. I am still very happy with the results that Haime has given to the care of my hair and there is no one else like him that has done a wonderful job in straightening my hair. He has changed my life. Do not go to any one else to have your hair straightened Haime Munoz will take care of you.
Hair damage Russian Roulette.
I've been going to Haime for 3 years to get my hair straightened. At one time the service and technique were good, but my last visit was a disaster.
I walked in with beautiful shoulder length glossy hair and only needed my roots touched up. I walked out with dull, frizzy fried hair that was still damp in places. (With a price tag of close to $400 for salon service, the least I could expect is a full blow-out!) The ends had the texture of hay and my hair had lost all of its shine. The next day I called Haime and told him of the poor results and he told me to return in two days. I doubted that there was anything he could do, but wanted to give him a chance to correct the damage.
When I arrived at the salon Haime was defensive and rude, bordering on irrational. HE was acting like the injured party, asking me if I was insinuating that he did not know how to do his job. (My reply was, "I am not going to answer that - just fix my hair".) After about 15 minutes of Haime's hissy-fit, I walked out. Now I have to cut my hair short grow it out again. Stay away. It's not worth the chance of catching Haime on an 'off day'.
Avoid at all costs!!!. I have not experienced actually going to this salon. I did buy the one week hair kit and tried it on my daughter last night. I followed the directions exactly. Apply, comb, comb, comb, rinse, apply, comb, comb, you get the idea. Well, it was the most disappointing product I have ever bought. Her hair actually looked curlier than when I started. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
On my lunch hour.
I went to Haime Munoz Salon for the hair straightening promotion and I wish I could say I was impressed but I was not at all. I had a comb repeatedly yanked/whipped through my hair (which kept getting snagged- Ow!) and also scratched my scalp, a shampoo person didn't believe in actually washing hair-just ran shampoo over the top layer of semi wet hair and rinsed with cold water, and then at the end of the process had a hair dryer handed to me so that I could dry my own hair. At this point right now, I don't know whether or not this straightening has process worked because my hair is hair dried and looking like crap...
I would recommend not wasting your money. I am really glad I didn't fork over $500 for what it is actually supposed to cost had there not been the straightening promotion.
Japanese Straightening is much better. About 2 years ago I went here for the relaxer becuase my hair was highlighted and it was recommended that i could not get the Japanese Straightneing on it with so much color. Despite all the reviews here, the munoz relaxer did not go gentle on my highlighted hair - in fact it kind of fried it. I paid over $500 for the relaxer and the psuedo cut (bad cut) - only to realize that I needed to cut my hair again (which I did at B&B) chin length to make it look less fried. So the relaxer did not nothing for me except made wait even longer for the japanese straigtening - which I have since receive & LOVE!!!!! BTW - staff at munoz was nothing special either.
stylishly modern. Nothing to correct. Very attentive, personal service. When I am in the chair, I am made to feel like I am the only one there. You can see that Haime connects with each person on a ONE-to-ONE level. Everyone is his number one client, and everyone gets that special, personal touch.
"straight" to happiness. Haime Munoz has been relaxing my hair for over 10 years. The amazing thing about this relaxer is that I can have Haime dye my hair as well within a week or two of this process. You would think that two different chemical processes would leave my hair dull and fragile. Quite the contrary ladies! My hair is soft and shiny!!! The texture of my hair has actually improved more and more with each relaxing. The relaxer has also cut my blow drying time in half! What a pleasure!
